You probably expected lines to snag an iPad this month to be long. Well, they might be longer than you expected.

    • i'm sure the limited availability thing is part of apple's marketing. you know die hard fans will be camped out in front of stores just to get one regardless.

No I do not own a zume. I have a cell phone that can play music, send/receive email, surf the internet, etc at the same time. See, unlike the I-phone, my cell phone is not crippled by a crappy OS that can only operate one application at a time. And for reasons I can only guess, people are willing to purchase an oversized i-phone with the same limited operating system. Oh, and also get screwed into a shitty AT&T data plan.

Are you actually implying that Apple is a world-wide leader in selling technology products? They aren't even in the top 8 in computers in Europe or Japan. Other than the fact that they jumped into the music distribution game, Apple isn't exactly a world leader in anything. Go look up international market share.

Apple is just a US company, serving a loyal, small niche base. For some reason, that base seems to ignore how Apple routinely releases products with an extremely short shelf life. But hey, who am I to judge the house of Jobs. The dude makes a crap load of money off of people.

    • Oh no...but I so want a product that can only run one single program at a time.

Seriously, if any other company came out with products with such glaring technical issues, they would be trashed for it.
