Mapping internet growth, still not many users in Africa.
The BBC has an interesting infographic showing how the internet has grown since 1998.
Internet usage has increased in many parts of the world, but noticeably not on the African continent.
"The Democratic Republic of Congo has 290,000 users, representing just 0.45% of the population."
Cedric Kalonji uses the internet, to create a more Democratic Republic of Congo. Watch as he and other African bloggers, show the importance of internet access.

Let's hope that in time, the internet brings the same freedom to Africa as it has to most of the rest of the world.

This is a major part of why crazy things like hunting albinos for their skin, believing in child witches, and having sex with a virgin to cure aids take root over there. Knowledge is freedom.

My wife goes every year... they make you pay through the nose for internet, then like a cell phone, you have kb limits. Often times you're charged per kb.
