NEWS ALERT: RUSH LIMBAUGH PROMISES TO "LEAVE THE COUNTRY" IF HEALTH CARE REFORM PASSES INTO LAW

Rush Limbaugh told his radio audience on Monday he would "leave the country" if health care reform is passed. That loud sound you heard was millions of REAL Americans dropping to their knees and praying the bill passes both houses of Congress and Obama signs it into law.

    • I can't believe anyone would admit to listening to the dumbass. Although he does have his little niche for making money, wish I had his money. I'd burn mine.

    • if he goes anywhere else, most likely he is going to be faced with a better health care system, so what are you trying to tell us Rush? you want a better health care system??? eh? eh?

    • if he goes anywhere in the western industrialized world, he will have the same problem. I hope he does move. He won't, because he's a liar, and an oxycontine addict, but he still thinks dealers should get the death penalty. I wonder if that applies to his maid, who got him thousands of pills, and kept records.

That's the whole point that you shouldn't since as I said yesterday it was just a stunt to create controversy and grab ratings like "Operation Chaos," the whole "retard" thing and Micheal J. Fox using his Parkinson's disease as a campaign tool.

The mistake is taking anything Rush says seriously since he's in the entertainment business and will say anything that makes people pay attention to him.

Yes, what is being submitted has some serious problems but I'd rather have Social Healthcare than what we have now, which to millions of people who are in the majority on this means this proposal or nothing and nothing is unacceptable.
Try Costa Rica with Rush. Maybe you guys can convince the people there that their Social Healthcare is bad and they should switch to what the US has now. Good Luck! :))

    • I want to thank everyone for your comments. The latest is Rush says he will move to Costa Rica if the Health Care Reform bill passes. Costa Rica has a national health care program. Costa Rica is ranked 36th in the world in health care. The United States is ranked 37th. Should I go on?

    • Actually, I think he will stay and use the excuse that he is staying to help his people fight against the "Socialist / Communist" government. I think that his listeners will actually believe that excuse, Hell, they believe everything else he says without question. What a waist!
I actually hope that his listeners will take him seriously enough that they will leave also, can’t hurt to hope. :))

    • It is the typical "Have you quit beating your wife?" line of reasoning that you would expect from Rush since he is the King of the False Premise and the Strawman Argument.

It depends on 2 conditionals, IF the HCR bill passes and IF he would ever keep his promise.

The stronger possibility is that that the bill will pass since their is a lot more momentum for that and given his past track record of keeping his word their is a very much lesser likelihood of his following through on his promise.

In case it isn't forgotten in the meantime, he'll just come up with some rationalization for it if the biill does pass and shift the blame to someone else

    • Wasn't this what a bunch of Hollywood people ( Sean Penn, Martin Sheen, Bab's, etc...)said they would do if George W. Bush was elected? They didn't! Although the actor on Law and Order:CI did have some kind of mental breakdown afterward......they brought in Chris Noth (5th season) to fill in alternate weeks until the 8th season and then Jeff Goldblum.
Besides Limbaugh broadcasts from his home is Florida. It wouldn't be hard to do so from another location.

But if Rush Limbaugh is promising to leave the country I think the Democrats need to double their efforts! We need Health Care Reform now! Exile Rush!

Maybe if we send Rush to Tibet he will scare off the Chinese invaders and we can "Exile Rush" and "Free Tibet" at the same time!

the public schools aren't entirely government run, actually we lease them to private companies and then the government regulates policy. The no child left behind act basically turned schools into a business of just getting things up to code in appearance. We actually have a system where kids are being undereducated, and the schools in an attempt to justify lowering standards have basically said some kids can understand some things while some are just can't. This is contrary to foreign schools where you learn, you learn, you learn, there is no add or this nonsense we see in the states.
For the sake of avoiding a rant I'll say this our public school system is broken in an epic scale.

    • He is disgusting. Why does he believe that he can freely go anywhere in the world? He is a bible thumping republican neanderthal. A human throw back in evolution. He has zero credit here, and he certainly has < 0 credit in a more sophisticated country.

Boycott bible thumping republican flyover states! We don't need their canned beans, white bread and mayonnaise, or any other fat ass, red neck product. Let them fester in their own sexless, loveless, inbreeding, holier-than-thou, miserable intimate lives.

Limbaugh deserves to stay a prisoner in a deep south republican flyover state. He has worked so hard to keep everyone stupid and ignorant. Why poison another county?

I wish I could MAKE people listen to him for 6 weeks (as he suggests) straight. If you do not like him after 6 weeks I'd send that person a $1000 check to them or the charity of thier choice. I am NOT trying to convince anyone of what I already know but rather make an impression on open-minded people! Keep up the good work Rush!

Years ago I worked in a place that the manager had Limbaugh's program on daily...I listened to the guy rant and rave about President Clinton for over a period of 18 months..If in all honesty you can say that he is not racially bigoted, ( Magic Negro) misogynistic, (feminazi ), and just hateful in general (" I hope Obama fails" ) then you are not actually listening to what the man says..and if you find yourself in agreement with his positions then I would have to say you are part of the problem. The fact that you think that all of us would like him and what he spews forth daily if only we would listen to him speaks volumes about your misunderstanding of the citizens of the U.S.

I think most Americans agree with Mr. Limbaugh's position than that of the President. As far as "Barack the Magic Negro" parody-do you know where that started? Do you even have a clue or did you hear it on MSNBC? It started because it was written by a black columnist from the LA Times. Do your OWN research. The word "feminazi" that he coined was a single word to express the mean spirited, angry feminists who got offended by a man opening a door for them. Rush has predicted so many things in the past and he has been right on the money in terms of who/what President Obama is. About wanting Obama to fail- he stated over and over again the he wants his policies to fail. And if you have not noticed, so far they have failed. They have not failed because of republicans but because his party, who could of passed anything they wanted for a whole year, but because the citizens of this country have rejected the Obama brand of politics. I will debate anybody, anywhere, for any amount of money. When you have the truth on your side and you are not playing politics with the country, you can accomplish great things!!

Yet he is ALWAYS taken out of context. An example is the "Barack the Magic Negro" parody. And if I heard it for the first time I would of been angry too except I KNOW that that phrase was first coined by a newspaper writer for the LA Times. Look it up if you do not believe me. Was he taken out of context there?

Thank you for illustrating what i said when I said, if you find yourself in agreement with his positions you are part of the problem. Your rationalizations of his comments is exactly what i would expect from a ditto head. I have some bad news for you, none of us including yourself think that when rush did his racist rendition of the Magic Negro that he was simply acknowledging a writer from the L.A. Times.... I have assisted you by copying some of the response by Republicans who also don't share your views about the intent of that song:

In December 2008, Chip Saltsman, who was campaigning for the chairmanship of the Republican National Committee mailed the song on a "Christmas CD" to fellow RNC members who would soon be selecting their new national chairman.

On December 27, 2008, incumbent RNC chairman Mike Duncan publicly criticized Saltzman's mailing:

'The 2008 election was a wake-up call for Republicans to reach out and bring more people into our party,' RNC Chairman Mike Duncan said in a statement reported Saturday afternoon by Politico. 'I am shocked and appalled that anyone would think this is appropriate, as it clearly does not move us in the right direction.'

Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich commented that "This is so inappropriate that it should disqualify any Republican National Committee candidate who would use it. The chairs of the Republican state committees in North Dakota and Florida concurred.

Peter Yarrow, co-writer of "Puff, the Magic Dragon", termed Saltsman's distribution of the CD "offensive" and "shocking"

'It is almost unimaginable to me,' Yarrow wrote in a statement sent to CNN, that Saltsman 'would seriously be considered for the top post of the Republican National Committee. Puff, himself, if asked, would certainly agree.'

If more Americans agree with Mr. Limbaughs positions than that of our president you are left with the difficult issue of explaining how we elected him if those of us who agree with President Obama's views are in the minority....
Feminazi , to to describe women who don't accept the roles that were defined for them by men is about as nasty and mean spirited as it gets...and I'm sorry but nobody thinks it's about a woman who is angered by a man opening a door for her...I think it's more about women who will no longer be "kept in their place" by jerks like Limbaugh and his resentment of them for refusing that role.

But those republican leaders answered /gave their thoughts based on the media taking him out of context. If I did not know better I would have answered it the same way they did. At first blush it sounded rude, racist, and way off base. The question to the people who denounced his comments should of been asked, "What do you think of a black LA Times writer calling Barack a "magic negro"? The writer should of been fired, if anything. And how about all of the people who reported it? Are they as guilty as Rush? Take a step back and think about it for a minute. If I called G.W. Bush a terrorist and you reported it, are we both guilty of using bad judgement? Since you want to quote republicans, I will give you some republican quotes who know the game(s) that the liberal media play and they actually listen to Rush. Here goes:

"Your talking about something you know nothing about, listen to the parody, it's humor!!!!"
      - Bob Bennett

"Did you guys actually listen to the song? Its lyrics?"
      - Joshua Kahn

"It points out the hypocracy of the Democrats....since many of their own words are emphasized in the song. Do your homework next time."
      - Scott Gales

"This is so typical of air-headed television personalities that are hired because of the way they look rather than how smart they are. They don't have the capablities to actually go out and find news so they manufacture it themselves. This story is based upon the most shallow reporting...i.e. looking at only ONE word of the song ignoring the rest and, more importantly, ignoring the context and what the song actually means. Shallow, Shallow, Shallow."
      - d.w. anderson

"this parody has been running for a month or so, get with it!"
      - Susan Langenheim

"NO! It's not and if you listened to it you would know that."
      - John Machado

"Rush's "Magic Negro" parody is based on an LA times editorial (I'm sure you are now aware of this). This story is 2 months old."
      - Craig Mossman

"Of course it's not racist. The real race problem in this country is people like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson and the lapdog media that props them up"
      - anonymous

"Rush is making fun of the liberal media that came out with Barrack the Magic Negro in the LA Times. Your liberal media friends started the whole thing and then you jump on Rush when he makes fun of the drive by media that started it all. I was Democrat Joe Biden that said he was even clean and articulate. Al Sharpton is mad because Barrack is getting all the attention and not him."
      - Howard Wilkerson

"You guys are morons! You would understand humor if the rubber chicken slapped you in the face."
      - John Stevenson

"Your people are left wing agitators and cause racial turbulence!"
      - Richard Morris

"Your poll will show your audience overwhelmingly thinks the song is racist. Who but a committed left wing nutcase would watch your idiot mannequins? Please explain to them this non story IS TWO MONTHS OLD. "
      - George Harter

"I hope you guys are listening to Rush today, he is exposing you for the idiots you truely are."
      - Kevin Powell

"You should really make sure your host have done all, ALL their homework before degrading your station with total ignorance. Their comments about Rush are examples of why more and more people in this country have no confidence in what the news media reports as news."
      - Michael Harrison

"Do your homework before you expose your stupidity."
      - Diane Munoz

"Mr. Limbaugh did was not the first person to call Brother Barack the " MAgic Negro". It first appeared to here in Califonia. "
      - Calvin Watts

"High Point, NC formerly Rancho Cordova You folks on the morning show are a trio of illinformed, blithering idiots. Breaking News? To whom? You guys are the epitome of the worthless media that often skewers. The only controversy here how could three such inept idiots be hired by any media outlet for any reason other than to clean up at night!"
      - Tony Moschetti

"No, Rush's song is not racist, but I DID vote in Rush's poll that YOU guys are morons threatening racial harmony."
      - Tim D

"Before going with something like this deal w/Obama and Rush you should become better informed as to the subject."
      - Skip Schexnayder

"Wow, your anchors and commentators do not even listen to the words, the song is self explainatory, using liberal sources, The LA Times used Barack The Majic Negro in an article about the man, Joe Biden (LIBERAL DEMOCRAT) called Barack a clean well spoken candidate. Good luck with the speech police, you might be able to shut down free speech, but do not forget, you will be targeted by the establishment when they do not like what you have to say, SEE RUSSIA and freedom of the press."
      - Joe

"If you read/listen to the lyrics, it is self explainitory. LA Times called Barack that name, Limbaugh was making fun or the racism in the Liberal Driveby Media"
      - Michael Haire

"Obviously you so called "journalists" are too lazy to do any research. If you had only just went to Rush's website you would of found out why this parody was made. It was made two months ago and there has never been any controversy. Also, Obama has heard it and he didn't think it was racist. Why would he. If you listen to it (I doubt that any of you talking heads have even listened to it) you would find out that it doesn't parody Obama but the left wing and their hypocrisy that you are demonstrating."
      - Stephen Quinn

"Yes, it is racist to call Barak "a magic Negro" David Ehrenstein of the NY Times, who was the one to use that phrase, should be fired. What does Rush Limbaugh have to do with this again?"
      - Rick Hickson

      ************
Ok look, you seem like a nice person and I respect you for caring about your country and has Rush done and said some stupid things, of course, but this is not one of the things that should judge him. If nothing I say has made sense just try to take a step back and look at it through my eyes as I have tried to do through yours. I am admitting how I can see how it WOULD offend someone if they did not know where the source came from. Hell, if Rush was the source, I would be bashing him as well. I bashed him for his hypocrisy concerning his comments on drugs and people who do them. See, I am admitting that he was wrong about that because addiction is an illness, not always a choice. He was addicted to pain meds and he realized that it took over him. He probably did things illegal as far as acquiring the pills but he found a loophole in the system. He made a mistake and he seems to be sorry for it. Okay, thats all for now. I would like to have you post a video on my political youtube site. Thanks for listening!!
