HTC seem to bringing out a new device every three months now and it seems to be case that the mobile phone industry is becoming more and more like the computer industry. To me this would mean that if you are purchasing a device mainly for it's functionality, as a smart device.I say device, as opposed to phone, because this function is becoming increasingly secondary, compared to the usefulness of the apps being developed for communication purposes utilising the internet as it's medium.I'm concerned with the likelihood of a device bought now becoming obsolete within a few short months which is becoming increasingly evident also.I'm concerned because I only recently got my hands on a G2 touch and checking the specifications of HTC' Desire (Nexus one in the US) and Legend which I dont know the name for in the states, I can see myself being disappointed when games get developed specifically for these devices that won't function on my current model, even though it's less than a year old!Anyway,I won't be drawn into the marketing k-hole and be coersed into impulse buying of the next hotly anticipated gadget.I do realise by the time my contracts up there will be harder, better, faster and stronger devices to get my insatiable fidgety hands on.

yeah its frustrating too because you are locked into two year contracts... I would love a device with the functionality of the Droid.. I just got the BB 9700 at at&t because I wanted a real Phone.. At&t is finally adding android to its line up... but with striped down flavors [moto'blur' backflip, dell aero]..
