Funniest Viral Videos of the year

The people on the TV side of this network, asked me for my favorite comedy virals of the year. This is a compilation of my top 5.

I started with Sarah Silverman's fairly recent "Sell the Vatican" because I think its one of the most funny concise essays that I've seen this year.

What would a 2009 top virals list be, without the most popular breakout meme of the year "Play him off, keyboard cat." I chose this video, because I think falling through slides maximizes the lolability of this meme.

Next I chose Facebook Status-Off. A funny critique on the art of composing a Facebook status. I liked this video so much, that I licensed it for television. IF you keep your TVs tuned to Current, you can also watch it on the old televisor.

College Humor has been a powerhouse at producing hilarious, timely content for years. They've had many hits this year, that I've enjoyed, but I think their commentary on internet culture set to a Billy Joel song is among the best.

Some say this was the year of the auto-tune, and the people to do it best were Auto-Tune the News. My favorite episode was the second, where they get Katie Couric to sing "on very thin ice."

What were some of your favorite virals?
