The woolly mammoth was an elephantid species and most closely related to today's Asian elephants. It went extinct around 13,000 years ago. But because the mammoth lived in the Arctic, many remains of the species have been found preserved in the permafrost.
Ancestors of both the mammoth and Asian elephant originated in Africa around 6.7 million to 7 million years ago and stayed for about 4 million years before moving up into Southern Europe and then farther up into what is now Siberia and the northern plains of Canada around a million years later.
At around the same time "a cataclysmic event occurred on Earth -- the Ice Ages," said Kevin Campbell of the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, Canada, who led the study into the ancient animal's blood, which is detailed in the May 2 online issue of the journal Nature Genetics.

Tapeworms ate away all my hemroids, a great blessing as some were bleeding. But then the sucker injected its babies into the colon wall (capillaries) and one went into my heart muscle and anchored itself into the aorta wall. It grew larger til it was blocking blood flow to my brain last year actually.
I killed the baby just like I killed its Momma, with chemicals. I was trying a seaweed product called FucoThin from Garden of Life, Wakame seaweed being extremely high in IODINE. I was taking 12 and 14 of em a day, plus some spirulina capsules that also has iodine. I obliterated that little devil one day he flushed out and I was saved.
So now I've been enabled with restored health to post even many more and longer posts on Current, a wonderful thing everyone is supremely happy for.
Let this be a Warning to any more bugs thinks they can get inside my body and live. I hate worms and bugs. I will kill you and your children too if you EVER come back here, so help me Tara I will never tolerate any more Yanks on my southern plantation.

NO! And that's the really GREAT THING ABOUT IT BAILEY. You just keep eating American food and drinking coffee, tea and sodas with sugar and even cream. Live the high life and the worms will find YOU!
Altho I have heard that, sometimes, if you get real drunk, while you're passed out some friends might give you an eel thinking they're the same Genus. It's good to have friends [most the time].

Considering the fact humans , at one point ate them , used their bones for building homes , and possibly played a role in their extinction , we should bring 'em back .

I wish they'd get off of this "resurrection" idea. The mammoths are extinct for a reason. It would be irresponsible for us to bring them back from the dead when they have no ecosystem to sustain them. To revive a mammoth is to exploit it. It's what humans are good at.
Why don't we try to learn about the animals that are still here? The are at least as amazing as a mammoth or dinosaur. Let's have enough respect for the dead.

Maybe the great scientists can grow us some small versions we can name them, buy doll clothes and dress em up, and serve them tea, in a cup. Pet-size monsters incorporated. When after a few days of playing with em you get tired of them just do the meat packer's trick and have a few days meals.

A "Big Gulp" is a 32 oz (Just shy of a litre) soft drink: Coca Cola, Pepsi, etc- that we Yanks can buy at local small markets. They are inexpensive, loaded with sugar, and the come in garish paper cups that advertise obesity to the world.
