Being a jail cell vigilante has earned Antonio Collins a Facebook fan club.

Collins admittedly attacked Bernard Jackson while the two were locked up in the same jail cell last Thursday. Or as Collins says, he "gotta little piece of his ass."

Collins recognized Jackson as a person of interest in five rapes in the Waldo area in the last two years as well as the man accused of raping four women in the 1980s.

Jackson suffered only bruises. He was treated at Truman Medical Center and then returned to a cell all by himself. He has declined to press charges.

And for getting Jackson to "scream like he made them women scream," Collins has a fan club of 610 on Facebook:

This official fan club is dedicated to a man who will live in Kansas City lore as the first to bring justice onto the head of Bernard Jackson, the accused suspect in a series of recent rapes in the Kansas City neighborhoods, Waldo and Brookside. Upon Jackson's arrest, he was put in a cell with Collins, who acted on behalf of the victims, their families, and the rest of the Kansas City community by "Tryin' to knock the snot out that boy's face."

KSHB Channel 41 has video of the lead up to the assault.

Collins was in the jail for carrying a concealed weapon.

Jackson is scheduled to be back in court on Wednesday. His trial is tentatively scheduled for June 2.
