More news on the Digital Economy front, the digital end of Universal Music Group International admits that trying to stop privacy is not possible, by adding that unless the markets are turned around the industry faces future problems. I'm hoping this means they're going to work on plans to innovate the new digital market, instead of moving towards restricting it.
However, the article points out Francis Keeling (head of digital at Universal) is for the 'sanctions' in the Digital Economy Act.
"He also said he was confident the new Conservative-Liberal Democrat coalition government would "remain supportive" of the bill.
The details of the sanctions and how they will be imposed now have to be worked out."-BBC
