Today I took part in a job interview just for fun. Ok not only just for fun, but because I was thinking to get a day job. The recruiter lady asked me one of the most stupid questions that recruiters used to ask: “Why our company?”. My answer to this was very straightforward and honest. “Well, I applied for several vacancies at several companies.”
The thing is I don’t think there are still many of those who want to work for one particular company. Job seekers apply for as many vacancies as possible because they know that they will be sorted for one reason or the other. If you are a recruiter and you don’t know this, please face the reality. There is nothing like company loyalty. Everybody wants to work because they need money. If they needn’t money they wouldn’t work. Do not daydream, it’s dangerous.
