Sprint has admitted that the shortages plaguing the HTC EVO are preventing it from gaining a major foothold on the 4G market.

    • The question is Sprint is blowing it big with the new 4G network was asked on one of it's web site's page of discussion and you only need to check there to see why people are not buying it.

I've been debating if I should get an Evo or not since I need a new phone. Well like I so often do I took to the Internet for answers. I searched through site after site on what the phone could do and how it might make my life easier. And after weeks of reading and viewing here's what I've learned.

The Evo has great abilities with one major flaw, a $10 fee for services Sprint doesn't actually supply. WT*? I know! Yeah Sprint has taken it upon itself to impose a $10 FEE or what I would like to call a Taxation without representation clause in its usage contracts. I thought to myself this can't be true we live in America you cannot charge for service you don't actually provide a customer. Has the laws been changed to allow big companies to set prices (well maybe the oil company) on items the don't provide?

I called Sprint and asked about the FEE/TAX and was quickly issue a drone response that the Fee is for not only their fast new 4G speed but for what data (that should be included since I'm in a unlimited Data plan) that would be provided using EVO (isn't that what the cost of the for is for) have cost me? Again, huh? The confusing terms and spins of the $10 fee Sprint keeps putting on made me look for more information and other views. It's not pretty what being said on their own site or from most I asked.

I thought this was going to make life easier? I don't know if I should listen to the backers calling customers names (like whiners and cheap) on Sprints website or listen to the facts being presented by people on chat-rooms and vid-post. So I continued my search.

My conclusion is the Evo might be great new tool but why should we pay for something we won't be getting or even know when will get it in our area. This $10 fee might not seem to be much to those who can afford it but there are many struggling to make ends meet and even if they were not why should they pay for something they don't get?

I will do my 30 day test on the Evo and return it. Because I don't think its fair to talk about something you have a limited view of and 2 I agree with the masses you shouldn't just give your money away because you are being told to do so. Think for yourself don't be an asleep sheep in the herd.

Take back the pride in yourself people. Don't let someone just take you hard earn cash without giving you what you paid for or are worth. If you paid for a steak dinner I think you should get the steak and not just the side dishes on a dirty plate.

What do you think? Should we start paying our hard earned money for services we're not getting? Does Sprint or any company have the right to bill for products they can't and don't know when they can provide the customer?
