Facebook will add a “panic button” application for user to report child abuse to Britain’s Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre (CEOP). Facebook has been refusing & saying they have already installed effective reporting system.

The Application will be installed at homepage of facebook with the captions "Control Online".

Where as, Other social networking websites like MySpace & Bebo have already added that kinda button.
Facebook had initially resisted the idea, but finally agreed after months of negotiation with the CEOP, BBC reported.

CEOP is a government law enforcement agency tasked with tracking down online sex offenders.

After the rape and murder by a 33-year-old convicted sex offender with a 17-year-old girl. The man showed himself as a teenage boy at Facebook, Now Facebook is compelled to do this. its been said that 44 police chiefs in Scotland, England, Wales signed a letter backing CEOP’s call for the “panic button” on every page of Facebook.
