It seems most of the "who cares" crowd are coming from the angle that they we should not be concerned about the lack of modesty these images display. That is not the point and never has been.
The concern is that this is another blatant example of the government's intrusion on personal liberties. The more rights the government takes for itself to secure our "safety" means less rights for the people.
Since this country has survived on the idea that it is "of, for, and by the people", it is disturbing to see more and more power being taken from the only legitimate authority for power - the citizens.

This is stupid! Who cares if those crapy images are stored? I mean they look like the liquid metal guy from Terminator 2! I am full figured. If someone wants to see my shinny metallic fat ass I do not care! IN FACT, here is a better idea. SELL THOSE ON THE INTERNET! If some fool wants to max their credit card looking at the shinny naked people, GREAT! Let’s use the funds for education. It’s all good! HERE son a new English book for class, paid for by the Transport and Security Administration, the good guys! Yeah USA!
Caveat: A suspect can also be tracked and captured by image comparison. GOOD! I do not want to be blown to Hell by some F’ing terrorist. Take all the pics you like TSA! Do you want to catch my good side? Let me turn around and bend over for you! NOW SELL THAT BABY!!! $$$$$$
Making money for schools and catching bad guys at the same time. Sounds good to me!!! - 1 year ago

LOL! You're post made me laugh. Our economy is continually spiraing downward to a depression that's going to make the 1930's look like a tea party, we are still in a war that we perpretrated committing genocide for no reason other than greed, other countries enjoy freedoms we can only dream about in the USA (gay marriage, pure untainted food), and people worry about whether someone is going to see their rendition of Terminator 2's evil liquid metal guy. ) , LOL! America really has it's priorities straight doesn't it?

I really don't give a crap if they see me or any one naked. The people bitching about being seen "naked" are the ones who no one wants to see naked anyways. If it stops someone from blowing me up, cool. I work out, and I hope they like my naked scan because I worked hard for it unlike a lot of Americans who let themselves go. If they have health effects well that is a different story and that is what I would be concerned about.

TSA is saving these images and has now admitted it. These scanners also supply enough radiation to cause major health risks like cancer. Here's a link to a story where they admit that they store these images. Wake up they always lie to us.

No problem. I've been researching these body scanners since they first hit the airports. They really are bad news. The naked photos are just the tip of the iceberg. Notice how when you get an x-ray at a hospital the person who takes the photo goes behind a lead wall so they aren't' exposed to the radiation? They also cover up parts of your body that aren't being x-rayed? Well these power tripping TSA workers are getting dosages of radiations from these machines all day long. I'm willing to bet the bank that in the near future TSA workers start filing complaints and becoming very ill and dying off because of the radiation from these machines.

They probably don't "cause" cancer any more than a tanning bed causes cancer, but if you had a tanning bed session then went though 3 or 4 successive airport scans while using almost non-stop plastic devices ~like cellphones and handheld computers iPods Kindles whatever~ in the space of a couple weeks then we're talking accumulation of carcinogens.
The Bisphenol-A is released from the plastic by sweat and heat and is absorbed directly through heat-widened skin pores. Basically Almibry we're talking landfill leachate albeit in small regular doses. Kind of explains why young people are being dumbed down to one degree or another. Can't count money back when working a cash register. Simple stuff begins to be a mental challenge much like what happens to us from Lead or Mercury poisoning.
Memory loss becomes apparent before cancer sets in. So really these scanners,as long as they are isolated by cherry picked "experts" and considered alone they can proclaim everybody's wrong. They used the same psychological tricks to say cellphones don't cause a brain cancer.

They can't count money back because they didn't learn on the old school registers that required people to think. The machine tells them what the change amount should be.

Even on the registers that tell the cashier what the change should be, I've seen cashiers struggle with counting out the change because some math skills are required to decide how many of which bills/coins need to be passed out. It could be stupidity, lack of practice, or maybe it's just a bad day, but it's still pretty sad.

Of course way back in 1980 I didn't know any more about Bisphenol-A being in plastics than anyone else. Without computers to spread knowledge around we were sheep without a herd easily picked off by snipers.
Nancy Pelosi did a good job alerting the suntan crowd about tanning beds, a good job for somebody her age. At least Pelosi had enough spunk to speak her peace and tell her fellow Americans the truth.
Anybody seen or heard Joe Biden lately? Anyone?

They might as well just ask us all to strip down and get into a line at the security gate at the airport. It would save us all the cancer risks and they're doing the exact same thing anyway stripping it us down with their scanner.
