The news could change over the next few hours or days, but there are reports the case were Julian Assange was accused of rape has been reopened by a prosecutor.

There's not much news in the way of the source of this story (the previous leak was reported to come from a tabloid paper) or details on how the investigation is the same or different to the previous case. Though the prosecutor stated there is "reason to believe a crime has been committed"

Assange applied for Swedish residency before the allegations were first reported on in public.

"Another migration board spokesperson, Gunilla Wikstroem, told Swedish news agency TT the application was on hold since some information was missing, but did not provide further details.
Assange's application was submitted shortly before rape and molestation allegations against him by two Swedish women were made public."-http://www.google.com/hostednews/afp/article/ALeqM5jLlVdEO0V7Q-H8WtdgKcSHgBp8xA

"The case was dropped by a Stockholm prosecutor last week who said there was nothing suggesting Assange had raped a Swedish woman who reported him to police. [...]Ny also said that another complaint against Assange should be investigated on suspicion of "sexual coercion and sexual molestation." That overruled a previous decision to only investigate the case as "molestation," which is not a sex offense under Swedish law."-The Huffington Post
