The Wall Street Journal states they've found a number of popular apps on the Facebook page which send out users ID information to outside companies. The article says this also includes users who have their profile on the highest privacy setting. Though the information being transmitted also supplies information on someone's Facebook friend.
"The apps, ranked by research company Inside Network Inc. (based on monthly users), include Zynga Game Network Inc.'s FarmVille, with 59 million users, and Texas HoldEm Poker and FrontierVille. Three of the top 10 apps, including FarmVille, also have been transmitting personal information about a user's friends to outside companies."-online.wsj
WSJ notes some apps are now unavailable after the reported the information transfer to facebook.
"Facebook prohibits app makers from transferring data about users to outside advertising and data companies, even if a user agrees. The Journal's findings shed light on the challenge of policing those rules for the 550,000 apps on its site."-wsj

I can say i dont play these games on fb, but i know a lot of my friends do, therefore through no fault of my own, my details are being passed around the net, which is exactly what i dont want, my fb is set the highest privacy, but clearly that is pointless, ah damn i should never have allowed myself to be talked into signing up to this crap anyway.
