The biggest problem I see with this isn't about trust issues, its the knowledge gap between generations when technology is involved. And I'm not talking about, "My parents have to get me to program the VCR." I have had to set up my parents wireless network (though that was a while ago and I think that they now have it figured out) and more recently I had to set up one of those DVD players that hooks up to an internet connection so you can watch Netflix instant watch movies on your TV. By the time I'll have kids, there will undoubtedly be some new technology that I don't understand but any kids will think its really basic.
But I'm getting off topic. The point being, kids are probably going to be better at manipulating this technology than their parent, and that means potentially disabling it. If you really want your kids to not drive too fast, get them a gutless wonder of a car that gets them where they need to go, but doesn't have enough power to go much faster than 65-70 on the freeway, instead of a rice rocket or old V-8 power house.

Artificial trust. This is fucking lame. It's only a matter of time before we install texting devices in our daughters' vaginas. How tight a grip do we really need?
