SEO Strategy

Though there are some basic, consistent rules to follow with an good SEO strategy it’s important to remember that different websites require different approaches. For instance, if I were starting up a website specifically designed to sell a particular product then my approach would be considerably different then if I were launching a personal development blog. The former would make due by applying backlinks from article directories, forums, and blog comments, all with little effort. The reason for this is because with sites such as the one I mentioned are generally trying to rank for specific, product related keywords and care little about visitor loyalty as long as they purchase the product. The latter however requires a much more delicate approach and would benefit from guest posts, thoughtful blog comments, social networking exposure and social bookmarking.
