Well well, some think of the Earth as a "bitch." Speaks volumes about their thoughts in general. You know, I have always tried even though I may disagree with some or even despise what they stand for to believe that the light of truth resides in all of us even if buried deep. I truly doubt that now, and really, I feel sorry for those who haven't got a clue to what this is all about.
Respecting the Earth means respecting ourselves and our children, which means the gifts the Earth gives us will be greater as we give to her. This is the way to peace.
And also, a message to one here who knows who they are: I do work on and off the Internet and live what I speak. And you can bet I am a force to be reckoned with regarding that devotion and passion on and off the Internet. Again, you haven't got a clue.

"Shiva argues that when commonly used agricultural herbicides have names like “Round Up”, “Squadron”, “Avenge”, one can see there is war being waged against nature…and the humans are winning at the cost of their own future. To Vandana Shiva, fighting for peace for ‘Mother Earth’ is the broadest peace movement we can engage in.
She calls for a form of ‘Earth Democracy’, that re-imagines the biosphere as a citizen, that has universal rights that need protecting and defending."
___
I wanted to place this excerpt from the link here because Dr. Shiva is exactly right. If you listen to her speech she reads off a plethora of names used for herbicides and pesticides made by companies like Monsanto, BASF, etc. Every one of them makes connotations to war. None are friendly to the Earth or any species, and that is because these companies spawned their pesticides out of war chemicals they produced that were used to kill and maim people (that now carries on from generation to generation) and are now doing the same to biodiversity. There is indeed a war being waged against the Earth by these corporations for their own profit, and they are so greedy they cannot see it is a false choice that in the end will wind up destroying them as well. Earth democracy is then a core principle behind not only environmental balance, but balance of man that brings peace and not war, food for all and not hunger, clean water and not thirst, disease, or pollution. I do believe we will come to the realization that the crux of our problems have this as the root cause: our total disconnect from Earth through our own arrogance. - 1 year ago

SAVE THE EARTH
..stop raising awareness and START DOING SOMETHING (other than raising awareness LOL)
if you think Company A is fucking up the environment..stop using Company A..that is how it works..LOL
if you think OIL is fucking up the environment..stop using OIL..that is how it works..
if you think your clothing was made by slave labor..stop wearing clothing made by corporations..that is how it works.
but if you going to whine and whine and whine but at never do anything to DIRECTLY resolve it or the BALLS to do it..then you guys are fooling yourselves and just making some idiot pretty rich...
the power is in you AND NOT SOME POLITICIAN or Doctor or Actor or singer or some gorezombie that thinks she knows everything..

More about her speech and the Sydney Peace Prize at the link.
One of my favorite lines of this speech:
" I believe the war against the Earth begins in the minds of men... and I mean men."
