The FCC's weak new "open Internet" rules

The neutering of the Internet is now the unofficial policy of the Federal Communications Commission. Contrary to the happy talk from FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski at a rule-making announcement today in Washington, the move is well underway to turn the Internet into a regulated playground for corporate giants.

    • I saw this coming a long time ago. The big pigs running the show can't allow the public to be well-informed or their game will have to end. More than likely we will end up an informed society leading to a police state to allow them to use brute force to do whatever they want instead of the lies they use now, or they will succeed in keeping us stupid. We're pretty fucking stupid, so it's not that hard. Nobody even cares... Hardly anyone even knows what net neutrality is. We're a nation of dumb-fucks [mis]led by some of the biggest assholes the human race has ever produced.
