it has always been thought that the core was not only frozen but much smaller. the moon rocks are light, they are rich in titanium, aluminum, silica and oxygen with little iron, nickle or magnesium. it was thought that the moon froze rapidly and the heavier metals didn't sink far, therefore a small core and little heavy elements in the moon's overall composition (having been pulled back to earth after the moon creating impact). i thought i knew a lot about the moon but now, maybe everything i know is suspect.

it would make sense that the moon was once part of the the earth and having the same nature and growth possibilities..shot out from the san andreas fault area and now in the process of building its own atmosphere..interesting to research?

Nope, consider the source on this one as well. Yes indeed there are no volcano's for one and the other explanation I have long wondered about is the fact during one moon mission a lunar lander fell to the surface after being jettisoned and when it hit the moon the moon rang like a bell for hours! Hollow moon is a theory as well but where else would aliens have bases so close to observe us?

Future Nasa missions will help gather more detailed data. The Gravity Recovery and Interior Laboratory - or GRAIL - is a Nasa Discovery-class mission set to launch this year.
The mission consists of twin spacecraft that will enter tandem orbits around the Moon for several months to measure the gravity field in unprecedented detail.Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-1344980/Moon-liquid-core-just-lik....
