There is hope the eShop for the 3DS will boost gaming downloads for big publishers and independent game companies looking to gain presence on the hand-held market. It does seem like other areas where independent companies can sell, a number of great games have spread this way like minecraft and amnesia.
For UK gamers it is beleived the store will be ready to use on the day of release for the 3DS 25th March. Though US users might have to wait 24 hours.
"A Wired US report earlier this week said that Nintendo's 3DS eStore would not be ready on the day of release and that it would arrive at a later date via a firmware update.
The '3DS eShop' will also give users access to the full catalogue of DSiWare games, as well as games demos and a huge back catalogue of retro titles.
TechRadar has contacted a number of leading Nintendo handheld developers for further comment on this story. Stay tuned for updates."Techrader
