AT&T and T-Mobile Merger: The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly

AT&T (NYSE-T) has just announced its intentions, through an agreement with Deutsche Telecom (OTC-DTEGY), to purchase T-Mobile USA a subsidiary of Deutsche Telecom for a reported $39 Billion. See (AT&T to Acquire T-Mobile USA from Deutsche Telekom) The merger announcement was quickly endorsed by the CWA touting the synergies and benefits to faster mobile deployment within the U.S. while providing increased security for T-Mobile union employees who will be under the management of AT&T.
