FCC Opens Black-Hole of Data Roaming Rules

Voting along party lines in a 3-2 vote, the FCC has again over-stepped its authority to regulate data carriers in an ever-going battle to make the agency more relevant in a fast changing broadband technology world, where innovation and competition already exists. On April 7, 2011, new data roaming rules were adopted that would require mobile operators to negotiate and offer data roaming to all competitors across US markets.
