    • MY! I can't imaging why the hackers let Citygroup off with such a small pet on the hand. Any capable hacker that could access that which Citygroup alleges was hacked, would surely have the sense to go after a couple of hundred million, and not just a measley 2.7 mill.

Does this smell like a Citygroup propaganda stunt to anyone else?

If Citygroup is responsible to make good on the alleged stolen money, why tell the customers that their security system is not sufficient to protect their money at all. Why make their customers insecure with Citygroup? Why not just correct the problem and go on like they were always secure? Only a government/corporate conspiracy to justify greater IT restrictions and intrusions make sense of all this to me.
