Biorhythms on Current Earth Care

JanforGore
Welcome to my first installment of Biorhythms on Current Earth Care. I hope to do more to bring conversation, awareness and news on the environment that we don't see on MSM and items that help us see our connection to Earth. There is much more to come so don't be fooled by my mild manner this time. I'm just getting started.;-)

Thanks to everyone for their support. It most certainly is a labor of love.

Also, credit goes to my wonderful son Justin who is my cameraman ;-) and Mother Nature who provided the scenery.

    • Yes, if only I could find a candidate. Another question might be would you support a pro-environment candidate against a corporate democrat even if your candidate might lose to a corporate republican? Well maybe that subverts the whole point of your show, which is (as I understand it) not necessarily about politics, but about IMPORTANT ISSUES above all. However...

You are certainly in my "top ten" list of human beings that encourage the prospect of possibly having some kind of faith (unfounded though it may be) in humanity (not that I have ever made a list, but if I did, you would certainly be there near the top).

    • Good on you Jan! Greed, selfishness causes unconsciousness to answer your question why.Immediate return, the corporate goal of the next quarter, has ruined self preservation, especially in corporate, government.Government is not a business,it's function is far from it,yet the corporate model is forced on government.

Thanks for the links,I'm on it,especially the English gmo potato. I see the USDA gave RR bluegrass a license on Friday. The Monsanto juggernaut blunders on.

    • Yes I care and put this together in that sense.

      Sovereign Citizenship of Earth
With intention to create a freeing yet binding construct, of and for myself in conjunction with the people of the Earth, the planet of Earth and the Universe we share, this document comes to be.
“We live in a time of unprecedented urgency. If we do not care enough now, future generations may not exist to thank-you for their existence and for our caring.”
“Apathy on the individual level translates into insanity on the mass level, no better exemplified by today’s insane dedication of so many human and natural resources to the building up of unimaginably catastrophic arsenals, all while mountains of humanity are starving and suffering in terrible ways. Everyone knows this, and yet the situation remains this way, getting worse day by day. We do live in a ridiculous world, and I would not wish to talk about the world, without indicating my confusion and sadness, but also my vision and hope, concerning our shared human condition…..to help people to bring more clarity, precision and elegance to their thinking about situations large and small.” Douglas R. Hofstadter

I believe in myself yet will not impose my beliefs on others. From my perspective I will share my experience, further efforts and gains with all that live for the good of each other and the planet. Through others eyes I will strive to see, guided by empathy and common understanding, that each is individual yet a singularity connected to every other on this Earth, our home, and in the Universe, the finite and infinite source of potential and possibility.

“When we thus think in cosmic terms, we realize that man, if he is to become really human, must combine in his being the greatest humility with the most careful and considerate use of the cosmic powers that are at his disposal.”
“The problem; however, is that primitive man at first tends to use the power put in his hands for himself, instead of spending his energy and life for the good of the whole growing human family, which has to live together in the limited space of our planet. It therefore is a matter of life and death for the whole of mankind that we learn to live together, caring for one another regardless of birth or upbringing. No difference of nationality, of race, creed or conviction, age or sex may weaken our effort as human beings to live and work for the good of all. It is therefore an urgent need that all, children and grown-ups alike, be educated in this spirit and toward this goal. Learning to live together in mutual respect and with the definite aim to further the happiness of all, without privilege for any, is a clear duty for mankind, and it is imperative that education be brought onto this plane…let us hope many will make it.” Kees Boeke
I will no longer live to consume but will consume only what I need and pass excess on to greater good. I will do unto others as I would have them do to me since I understand every perspective is unique and judgment can only be justified through all eyes. I will not kill for I have no right to take that which should be cherished and cannot be replenished. I will not covet material things as I know the Earth can provide for the needs and comforts of all and that privilege and entitlement of the few over the many shall cease to be the only use for our resources. I will not live or work against the Earth, humanity or the systems of our Universe but individually and jointly shall strive to further understand, care for and protect the beauty we are all connected through and to. I dissolve my citizenship to any and all nationality and incur individual responsibility for my thoughts, words and actions. By shedding the imposed bonds of nationality I shall be reborn as a Sovereign Citizen of Earth with the consideration of and positive intention to work towards continual prosperity and happiness for the people and planet of Earth and the Universe that binds us, always.

    • Very good work Jan, my answer to your Question is YES. Any further politicians that want the people's vote better have the environment on their agenda, and be for higher taxes on polluters! Nicely done Jan:)

    • Hey Jan, thanks for your work! Very interesting. Looking forward to your next.
Answer to the question, yes. These days any candidate at any level had better be familiar with environmental issues.

That's good. Based on the lack of participation so far however it seems I may not be posting another of these here til then or after that anyway since I suppose there are less people around in summer and I may then only keep to venues where it will get more coverage or my own blogs for now or even then. I don't know. I haven't decided yet. I'll let you know. I suppose once election season starts posting anything here to community that isn' t totally politcally themed will not even stand a chance to be seen anyway.

The "people" making these unconscionable decisions already know the outcome of the election doesn't matter. That is just for us so we don't look at the destruction they are causing as they rape our home. Unfortunately, until we as a whole feel the "discomforts" of humanity around the planet we will still sit and discuss what is to happen politically in the next vote.
Don't stop making your show...if even one person sees it and it stirs them you have done more than many to bring light to the dark.

Yes I know I will continue to do so. It's just part of me to do so. It just gets frustrating to see us moving in such slow motion while so much is happening so fast and so unjustly that we need to deal with.

      Finally, something in the media.

"The plight of those trying to survive in the drought-hit Horn of Africa is far out-stripping the ability of anyone to help.

CBS News correspondent Tony Guida reports that the U.N.'s chief refugee official said today the crisis in Somalia is the "worst humanitarian disaster" in the world. To give an idea of the scale, he was visiting a refugee camp the size of Cleveland.

In one child's eyes, it is easy to see that he knows something you and I will never know: How it feels to be desperately hungry.

There are many children like him in one hospital in Mogadishu. They are malnourished children, some close to death, all refugees from the drought and violence destroying Somalia.
"If you are a hungry person, someone once told me you feel as if bleach is in your belly it hurts so much," says Bettina Luescher with the World Food Programme.

      snip
"We are in the middle of a perfect storm," Luescher says.

The Horn of Africa is choking on the dust of the worst drought in 60 years. Combine that with the massacres by Islamic militants in Southern Somalia, and rocketing food prices across the region, and the U.N. says some places are close to famine.

"All of this together has created a huge and urgent humanitarian crisis," Luescher says.

Thousands are fleeing in search of food and water.
