What will Google do now search is suddenly dying?

littlemissdebbie
Investment legend Roger McNamee says mobile has already killed search. Smartphone users hardly use search. Is Google no longer the gatekeeper to the web, business, the world? Will Google+ put them back in the money? Does today’s ‘Facebook for business’ launch roll the dice once again?

    • Where did they get that idea from? The idea that people no longer require the need to search for something on the web? It's wrong anyway.

I search for things all the time, just because I know where to get certain information, products etc sometimes doesn't mean I stop searching for things.

And the idea that smart phones are killing search? What? I have a google search app on my phone that I use quite a lot!

      Complete and utter rubbish.

    • My hope is that this will ensure that no one producer of internet and/or smart-phone software will get a chokehold on internet and/or smart-phone users, Microsoft now has because most people use their search engine.

Perhaps then corporations like Microsoft will be willing to, when they do a release of a new version of IE, ensure that there are not major design flaws in it before they start selling it to the public.
