For all you asleep individuals....just search one aspect of interest to see that conspiracy is not a dirty word. Wake up America, the rest of the world is why can't we? "The revolution will not be televised", stop expecting "reputable" sources to tell you the truth. THEY WON'T!

    • Just to clear up a popular misconception, the Latin phrase In Novus Ordo
Seclorum translates as New Order of the Ages. My Webster's Dictionary
of the American Language New World College edition copyright 1950
describes the free mason's meaning as " emerging Democracies " . It
represents a transition from the feudal order to popular majority control
of a nation's Government. The phrase " new world order " is considered
a mistranslation ie a connotation that's stuck because of international
banking cartel's domination of the economies of many nations through
foreign owned private central banks. It's no secret they do seek to
dominate the Governments and peoples of those Democracies and
to subvert them to minority control by an oligarchy. That's already fact.

    • Just a few of the players - & I am expected to believe it was all just "coincidence" & not "conspiracy"? HA!

Marvin Bush was a principal in a company which provided security for the World Trade Center, United Airlines, and Dulles International Airport

Wirt Walker — cousin of George Bush; principal at Securacom, US-Kuwaiti joint-venture that managed security for WTC, United Airlines, and Dulles Airport,

Bernard Kerik — NYC Police Chief on 9-11; “sidekick” of Giuliani; allegedly involved with FEMA in WTC demolition “war games” called Operation Code Angel

    • From Merriam Webster Dictionary:

      "con·spir·a·cy noun \kən-ˈspir-ə-sē\
      plural con·spir·a·cies

      Definition of CONSPIRACY

1: the act of conspiring together
2a : an agreement among conspirators
      b : a group of conspirators
See conspiracy defined for English-language learners »
See conspiracy defined for kids »
      Examples of CONSPIRACY

The CIA uncovered a conspiracy against the government.
They were accused of conspiracy to commit murder.
      Origin of CONSPIRACY

Middle English conspiracie, from Latin conspirare
      First Known Use: 14th century
      Related to CONSPIRACY

Synonyms: cabal, 1ring, crew, gang, Mafia, mob, syndicate"

Fascinating how the CIA can uncover a conspiracy against the government, but only "nutjobs" uncover a government conspiracy against the people.

I would be interested in knowing who has doubts after watching this -

While I applaud your honesty in acknowledging certain indisputable facts, your labeling and stereotyping is still a little off...

It's not as if there is a set thought pattern of those who don't believe the truth of the "official" claims...

Why insult people? "truther" it's quite derogatory... Then just go ahead and lump "tea-bagger" to it, and you've got every dissenting view figured right?

(I don't know but other than you actually saying you don't know what makes these people "tick", you pretend to understand them so well as to categorize and fit them into your box...)

Some of us know, and it's not hidden fact no such assertion was made, but we know both parties the whole system is a corrupt crock of shit. But some would like to hang on to the dying belief that some partisan puppet is really going to save us.... And it's the one that's just continuing to maintain wars and break way too many serious campaign promises...? That's fuct up.

And so you do know, there is information out there that's not shared with the general public, takes years to come out.... The "Gulf of Tonkin" incident is one such instance where just that happened...

War is a racket, you don't have to read the book to see it.... There was allot of money to be made by a government that both instigated and let 9/11 happen (not even to say that's what happen, but I have founded suspicions).

Another interesting tid-bit.... If Paul isn't the republican president elect I won't be voting for whoever on the republican side is....

Excuse me for being a left-leaning, anarcho-communist, constitutionalist.... But The terms you've used to categorizes people like me have been way off...

    • Actually, what I found reprehensible last night was that after all of the confirmed information we have about the way George W. Bush ignored warnings that could have prevented those attacks, the City of New York and the National Football League along with what I must assume are the owners of the New York Jets and the Dallas Cowboys, INVITED THAT IGNORANT, STUPID, MURDERING, FOOL OF AN EX-PRESIDENT GEORGE W. BUSH to toss the coin like he was one of the heroes of that day.
PEOPLE, HE WAS ONE OF THE CAUSES OF THAT DAY, NEVER FORGET.

I re-posted this from last night because it pissed me off so much

    • I can say so much about this but to keep it short and sweet I'll say this.
We all seek the truth. Conspiracy theories give you a different look at what is being told to us. If we were told the exact truth we would be at each others throats because no mater how much truth we are told the lie is bigger and more believable. This is how we all have been brain washed.

    • Usually on posts like this I just post a picture of some idiot in a tin foil hat and make a snarky comment belittling the "conspiracy theory lunatics." For my money there are so many real and important issues out there that devoting time and energy to humoring conspiracy theory non-sense is simply a waste of energy. However, today I make an exception.

Conspiracy theories, like religion, offer comfort to those who need a simple explanation to the multiplicity of complexities that life gives us. For some, it is simply easier to believe that some one or some group is pulling the strings rather than accepting the fact that no one is pulling the strings, and there is only a whole host of diverse and competing interests struggling for expression.

Put another way, conspiracy theorists insist there is some secret order to things, when in fact there is only chaos. Some are simply intellectually or existentially unable to accept the chaos - for such individuals there is a psychological need for religion and other conspiracy theories to bring order to the chaos.

As for the "NWO" - of course there are converging forces moving us towards globalization - but this is not so much a conspiracy as it is a natural evolution of human society given our technological capabilities. After all, "NWO" is just a scary way of saying "global village."

One last thing, in the video it is interesting to see how the imagery and mythology of Anonymous is being appropriated by the conspiracy theorists. This appropriation says more about the power of the ideology of Anonymous than it does the validity of any given conspiracy theory, and it is a powerful reminder of the potential of the Anonymous movement to enlighten and empower all of us.

Not looking for comfort, looking for truth. It is clear everything we do is done wrong and for the benefit of a few...if that's not for greed and control then why? It is also clear that we are a global community and I have no issue with globalization, but I do have issue with the fact that the decisions being made in our name are not in our best interest or our home's. We have the key to a better tomorrow in each of our heart and when we all come together we may finally be able to move forward down the right path and leave the wrong one behind as lessons learned. I do not disagree that we are all connected to each other and the Earth, but I see no future if we continue, through blindness, to be led by those that care only for themselves.

      An interesting perspective.

I often use the same explanation, but in reverse.

I feel that people that would dismiss all theories of conspiracy or collusion within the context of a larger struggle of competing interests out of hand are the ones looking for simple explanations only, and accept the religion of unexplainable chaos as dogma.

In a world of diverse and competing interests struggling for expression, seeking out and exposing those that might be conspiring to undermine the fair chance for all to express their interests is no simple matter.

I like that analysis when I look at people like Alex Jones--whose worldviews appear to accept these conspiracy THEORIES as TRUTH. In that respect, I tend to agree with you as far as believing in something without any proof.

However, I think there's a big difference between inquiring deeper into the motives of organizations like the World Bank and International Monetary Fund. And it's not about wanting to work together as a "global village" to solve problems and the like, but rather it's about taking a deeper look into some of the institutions that are shaping policy at the global level. Are these institutions, for instance, engaged in self dealing? Are these institutions really working to solve our problems or only serving as a falsefront for some other purpose?

Personally, I don't know the answers to these questions. But that's why I don't accept them as fact, but rather engage myself in learning more. Sadly, the sources for gaining such information aren't the most credible. Hence, a lot of the tin-foil hat type talk.

But thanks for sharing that view.

    • What I find interesting is how we all know how organizations like ALEC are working to undermine state and local governments. We know how big banks worked with federal legislators to deregulate every New Deal era financial safeguard. Right now, Big Oil is working to deregulate whatever environmental safeguards we have in place. These are OVERT conspiracies unfolding right before our very eyes.

Yet when the mere hint of this being done on a global scale is discussed, there's an immediate backlash. And how can anyone in their right mind dismiss the idea that the mainstream media has become nothing but a corporate and military mouthpiece? Seriously, how can one be a vigilant citizen and not question whether the institutions we have been conditioned to trust are truly acting on our behalf or reporting news accurately?

Call it NWO or whatever. But to dismiss this as just another conspiracy theory (and I sure as hell don't buy into every one out there) really comes across as a timid response.

    • Why do we have another conspiracy video on the number 1 chart again? Are people beginning to use Peacefreedomprosperity's method of vote spamming stuff up?

I mean the content in the video is just ridiculously terrible in of itself. The first minute or two is obvious as we live in a consumerist society and there are many who are more concerned about celebrities than whats going on in the World today. Now, the stuff coming after that is trash. Chemtrails, HAARP, Big blue ball heading to Earth? Really....how much more paranoid must you get? Just go onto rationalwiki and that should clear up any pointless/ distracting conspiracy theories. Conspiracy theories distract from reality and now let me tell you about reality for a second. Our government is extremely ineffective in keeping secrets (wikileaks being an example) and ineffective in implementing a war. Now, we have REAL problems in the World today. Poverty being one of them. The current economic system of Neo-Liberal economics isn't the way to go but just know this, no one group controls everything since that would require a shit ton of Capital to do. Now I know you'll say oh but the IMF NWO OMG but seriously. You don't seem to understand that power is less in the West than in the East. Who invests the most in Africa today? US? E.U nations? No, CHINA. China invests much more into the entire continent of Africa today. In the US, we have corporate entities like the Koch Brothers who are actually spending loads of money in order to buy our politicians (Although they're not the only people doing that). So while you distract yourselves with worthless fear mongering conspiracies and continue drinking the kool-aid, others here are living in a reality that can be improved by being activists and actually getting involved in the political process.

What is stated in that article is quite different than how you framed it and my response stands. There is nothing in that article about saving the galaxy from Earth's global warming, and it is hardly a conspiracy theory the way you characterized it. It is one highly speculative possibility among many plausible listed outcomes that aliens may see humanity as a civilization growing out of control.

See this is a big problem with the media.

They tell us that alien conspiracy theories are acceptable, but government and criminal conspiracies (ie following the money) are not allowed to be discussed.

From the article (queue Twilight Zone theme song):

"Watching from afar, extraterrestrial beings might view changes in Earth's atmosphere as symptomatic of a civilisation growing out of control – and take drastic action to keep us from becoming a more serious threat, the researchers explain.

This highly speculative scenario is one of several described by a Nasa-affiliated scientist and colleagues at Pennsylvania State University that, while considered unlikely, they say could play out were humans and alien life to make contact at some point in the future.

Shawn Domagal-Goldman of Nasa's Planetary Science Division and his colleagues compiled a list of plausible outcomes that could unfold in the aftermath of a close encounter, to help humanity "prepare for actual contact".

In the real world all I can do is live my life through right action, understanding that every choice has an affect towards everyone's future and try to do the best I can for myself, you, my neighbor, and the people around the world that care about people and planet. There is a foot on our throat keeping us from living correctly, keeping us from love, kicking us towards fear. We have to see the beast before we can deal with it and make this world a better place for us all.

    • I do believe there are things that happen that cannot be explained by ordinary means. And I do believe that there were events in our history that were shaped by certain entities taking it upon themselves to shape that history for their own purposes. I do believe JFK was assassinated by the CIA because he was about to divulge to the American people who really runs this government because they were calling the shots regarding Vietnam and other matters (Cuba) and he was bucking that system. And while I don't believe the moonlanding was staged nor that this government planned 9.11 ( though I do think it possible for a government to do that-look up Reichstag Fire) I do believe they knew it was coming and let it happen to get their war in Iraq and tracking the money behind it leads to benefactors within either this government or others. There are still many unanswered questions there. Which also dovetails onto the election of 2000 that was sabotaged in order for them to set it up as well by placing Bush in power in the hopes of getting that war one way or the other.

I do believe geoengineering is now going on in the world and while HAARP is a contentious issue, I can believe there is something going on regarding weather modification to a degree as I actually read about a bill for it in Congress which was supported by Kay Bailey Hutchinson a few years back. It has also been known for years that the military was looking into it as a war tactic. However, it is not the primary reason behind global warming, nor are sunspots, volcanoes, cosmic rays, or Rush Limbaugh's flatulence. Science has proven that and on that score I think some need to understand it goes both ways in seeing what is right in front of you.

It is also a known fact that there are secret societies amongst us and that they employ powerful people who have the ability to shape events for their own benefit. Skull and Bones is just one example. The question is to what extent and how far has it gone to date. That is something we need to keep researching. It is for sure that groups like the Bilderburg Group and ALEC that meet in secret are not doing so for our wellbeing, so those who dismiss out of hand that with great power comes the ability to do things we would consider "conspiracies" only need look to history to see it is indeed possible. And oh yes, I do believe there is other life somewhere in the universe as well but can't make a statement to whether we have ever been visited by it. I think to close your mind completely to "possibilities" is to betray human nature. Believing it is possible doesn't mean it is being done or that you are a whacko. It means you have the capacity to think regarding each situation and not just follow.

Thanks, Jan. Excellent comment. You've bought up alot of great points. This is all STC is asking people to do.....question and think and you have done just that. I do the same. I just said to STC..."Why are some people on this thread so afraid or down right ballistic when it comes to questioning 9/11 or anything else?" If we stop questioning what our government does, I believe that is one way we start losing our rights and freedoms. (We already have, BTW) Questioning your government doesn't mean you don't love your country. As Thomas Jefferson said, "Dissent is the highest form of patriotism." There is a great article by Chris Hedges called "10 Years After 9/11. America has become what we loathe" I tried getting the link pasted but couldn't. I'll try later or if you have time, google it.

Yes well I remember when 9.11 happened ten years ago the first question I asked was how could this government not know this was coming and try to do something to stop it? Just based on the fact that this is the US we're talking about, the fact that it happened before and the huge intelligence community we have globally, I found it absolutely unbelievable they had heard no chatter and had no inkling about anything going on. I mean, that isn't conspiracy, that's reality. And believe me, asking that question got me reemed. And that is disturbing because it is indicative to me of a society that has to an extent been brainwashed to think their government can do no wrong and is beyond reproach. And when you have a populace that thinks that, why hell, the government actually can do whatever it wants. So yes, I do believe that questioning your government is essential to keeping it healthy and also a part of activism and showing love for your country. And while I personally might not espouse to chemtrails or some other things, again, that doesn't mean we as humans do not have the capacity to go that far in seeking an agenda.

Speaking of getting reemed, whenever someone asks (me included) "why are these stupid, useless and costly wars still going on?" I get excuses or I hear about the phoney "war on terror." C'mon! There is no reason for this decade of war that has been going on since 9/11. Here's a great article on why we are STILL in Afghanistan...it underscored what I already firgured. BTW, someone posted an article here on the board about HAARP. I'm going to read it.

Iran's president sparked a mass walk-out by US delegates after telling a UN summit that most people believe the American government was behind the 9/11 attacks.

(he may very well be wrong in his accusation and assertion, but what he says directly after that...)

12:08 into it... Is dead on, the way things should have been. But no the U.S. caught a horrible case of "blood-lust" and killed over a million people over less 4,000 lives taken here.

Ahmadinejad isn't the only politician willing to call 9/11 for what it is, but he's the one that the media focuses on because the US and Israel want to mass murder Iranians with humanitarian carpet bombs.

In mid January of 2008, The National Diet of Japan (Japan's version of Congress) held a session that was broadcast live on NHK television to discuss the passing of anti-terror laws and Japan’s role in the worldwide role in the war on terror.

Yukihisa Fujita, a member of the House of Councillors, questioned the various holes in the official account of 9/11 for almost thirty minutes.

Even if "Anonymous" got a hold of things, started exerting their influence, overall the things went according to plan.

The region has been destabilized, and the people coming into power will be allot easier to control with money, it will take far less to buy them off/out....

Their little uprising are just playing into the hands of predatory capitalist corporate dreams...

But here in the U.S. they already control us, they will use the same methods & propaganda campaigns that inspired revolution there to squash it here...

So the rest of the world hasn't really "woke-up", they've just traded Jeffery Dahmer for Hitler and don't even know it yet....

I didn't... I've voted and treated people with respect. I have also come to realize there is way more going on than meets the eye and I want to know what. Not paranoid about a thing...I just have a hope to wake as many people up as possible, not for me...for us all. The truth will be in everyone's face all too soon, but I'd rather look for answers and be prepared than not and be reactionary.

    • Actually, what I found reprehensible tonight was after all of the confirmed information we have about the way George W.

That is disgusting, ACSUS! Don't worry, I'll never forget. There should be a bumper sticker that says "Bush ignored warnings of the 9/11 attacks: NEVER FORGET!" Prison is where Bush SHOULD be!

That's one bumper sticker I would be proud to paste on - right next to my POW/MIA sticker - but I am afraid my car would be trashed or I could get run off the road by self-proclaimed "Real" Americans if I added the second bumper sticker!

    • Just want to add that I'm beginning to believe more and more that this whole conspiracy movement is nothing for than a desperate attempt to find a way to replace religion as we become a more secular society. Basically you have the devil (Some random cabal of people who like to spam their image all over the place for some reason). Then you have the evangelical like attitude to it like open your eyes to the "truth". Seriously, no different from a pastor telling you to open your heart to god. Then you apply a pseudo-intellectual component to it based off of obscure individuals who they themselves ask like demagogues. Adding to the demagoguery is the media component as people like Alex Jones who prize themselves on making prediction come true. The NWO is your devil and Conspiracy Theories is your Religion. Enjoy another baseless brainwashing by the 21st centuries new religion.

BS I want to be able to have personal accountability for my actions as should we all, but too much is done in our name that is wrong. We are allowed no choice but to live how we are told currently. I want better and will continue to search for truth. Your facts above are bull if you look relevant to 9/11. We live in a world of lies where everything we do is done poorly for the gain of a few, but I am sure that is only coincidence...which I no longer believe in.

Just because you are paranoid does not mean they are not out to get you. But I do see your point.

Individuals can not know what is true or not true without directly witnessing and sometimes that is subjective.

What is important is that whatever the cause, the world is broken and people are suffering and it is not necessary. The distractions are on purpose.

i agree with how people are blinded by conspiracy theories and get way to invovled in them. But that is because they were once like you (and SandyBerman) and were turned onto to this way of conspiracy thinking later in life.

I can listen to both sides open minded and without getting angry with the other person im talking to. try to relate and understand everything that is the only way to peace. and you learn alot more.

and why go through life so closed minded i love hearing about conspiracies. youtube sum shit for fun and go in it saying "well i guess anything is possible" rather then "fuck that im right!" like 'the earth grows theory' thats a fun thing that i doubt is true but what the fuck do i know. the sun is a ball of fire because some smart guy figured it out not me or you. and that guy could be wrong.

      most geniuses are conspiracy theorist.

Here all I can do is try to show people the door...they have to choose to walk through.

    • From the legal dictionary:

An agreement between two or more persons to engage jointly in an unlawful or criminal act, or an act that is innocent in itself but becomes unlawful when done by the combination of actors.

Conspiracy is governed by statute in federal courts and most state courts. Before its Codification in state and federal statutes, the crime of conspiracy was simply an agreement to engage in an unlawful act with the intent to carry out the act. Federal statutes, and many state statutes, now require not only agreement and intent but also the commission of an Overt Act in furtherance of the agreement.

Conspiracy is a crime separate from the criminal act for which it is developed. For example, one who conspires with another to commit Burglary and in fact commits the burglary can be charged with both conspiracy to commit burglary and burglary.

Conspiracy is an inchoate, or preparatory, crime. It is similar to solicitation in that both crimes are committed by manifesting an intent to engage in a criminal act. It differs from solicitation in that conspiracy requires an agreement between two or more persons, whereas solicitation can be committed by one person alone.

Conspiracy also resembles attempt. However, attempt, like solicitation, can be committed by a single person. On another level, conspiracy requires less than attempt. A conspiracy may exist before a crime is actually attempted, whereas no attempt charge will succeed unless the requisite attempt is made.

The law seeks to punish conspiracy as a substantive crime separate from the intended crime because when two or more persons agree to commit a crime, the potential for criminal activity increases, and as a result, the danger to the public increases. Therefore, the very act of an agreement with criminal intent (along with an overt act, where required) is considered sufficiently dangerous to warrant charging conspiracy as an offense separate from the intended crime.

Given this information, I think most would agree that conspiracy is rampant in our society as evidenced recently and frequently by the financial giants and military industrial complex.

It is also not a stretch of the imagination (or facts) that often theories about conspiracies turn out to be true.

That all said; I agree with the poster: thorough research is always warranted.
