While that's certainly true for solar, my family powered our house with a windmill from 1990 to 2004 and it was very costly to maintain. The worst was the 12 deep-cycle batteries which cost $500 a piece and lasted a max of 5 years! Then what do you do with those big batteries?
In 2005 we switched to solar which provides more power, requires much less maintenance and is not so battery dependent.

When Ted Turner launched CNN back in 1980 it was the first big green news channel.
Turner mandated all employees read environmental reports and cover stories like the ozone hole, acid rain and global warming.
A few years ago Anderson Cooper did a four part special, Endangered Earth, which was excellent and won several environmental awards.
CNN may run commercials for "clean coal and gas" to pay their bills but I have never seen them pander to Big Oil even remotely the way FOX does.

You get Ron Paul more on the substantive policies of actually being more "green" he'd be perfect....

Of course that would require a government telling people what to do, which as we can all see up to this point has only led to an inverted totalitarian corporate dictatorship.....

There is no easy answer, and Obama is a crook, close GITMO... close all the "black-sites"..... But talk about "water-boarding" and be unwilling to close GITMO....

I totally agree.
I really like Ron Paul a lot. But his stance on the EPA and pollution controls prevent me from ever voting for him. And if he suddenly changed his position I'd have a hard time believing him.
