The Material World has been fading away for some time and the world of ether is the next reality, from what I have read/heard from the Timekeepers. Makes sense when you think about the means by which we do most of our communications, and a lot of learning now.

Amusingly, two of the journos I follow on Twitter both posted that this was going to be the year they learn code. Checked out the link, thought 'why the hell not?' and signed up my own bad self.

Living in a very remote area has forced me to learn some new tricks and this year, I want to see if I can take it further than just layman use. There seems to be a subtle confluence of outlets/methods/opportunities opening to me. To many they would not seem at all connected, but I can see some great possibilities to make some constructive connections and in my old age, it is a bit energizing!

But don't forget that in August 1987 decades of war in Central America was ended with the Arias Peace Plan to this day, followed by the People Power revolution in the Philippines that ousted Marcos, the end of Apartheid in South Africa and Presidency of Nelson Mandela, and the fall of the Berlin Wall that led to the collapse of the Soviet Union.
