Just hope they don't figure out another way to 'slip it' in.

online and high-tech companies triggered an avalanche of Internet clicks to force Congress to shelve legislation that would curb online piracy

This isn't going away. Both parties want it,Democrats and Republicans. It will pass eventually, modified perhaps to satisfy a few, but it will advance.

Referring to MegaUpload, Glenn Greenwald tells us this morning:
The message is unmistakable: Congratulations, citizens, on your cute little “democracy” victory in denying us the power to shut down websites without a trial: we’re now going to shut down one of your most popular websites without a trial.

This is great news, but the fight isn't over. They are going to try to get an amended piece of legislation to bring back to the floor next week.

They're more than likely repackaging them as we type.

While the internet is United, we should go on the offensive. We should push for a congressman to introduce a bill to repeal the Digital Millennium Act. It would be a shot across the bow to Hollywood, let them know what could happen if they try to push SOPA on us again.

It looks as though some of SOPA/PIPA's former supporters in the House and Senate have turned against it as well.

Just remember the political leaders that support these bad bills are bought political leaders, if you can call them leaders with a straight face!!

Even if these bills die forever , there is still already too much power in the wrong and very corrupt hands ....

This is really great news, but I'm not doing the "VICTORY" dance *yet*.
As long as the Bills are (as you say), "not dead", I'm not completely convinced it's time to celebrate, even though I want party hearty right now.
