My reference to evil was simply implying that evil is not a characteristic we are born with. People are not naturally evil. People become evil or do evil things as a result of their environment. For example, if Hitler had been brought up in a totally different environment, he might have been a really nice guy.

And my point is the word "evil" is one belonging to the poor thinking of mysticism. I find it a counter-productive term when speaking of human beings and of the natural world. There is only factual error, poor logic and lack of commitment to civilized behaviors between human beings.

These are, yes, natural traits with which we are all born and that many by ability and willingness conquer in maturity ...

and many do not.

One can make factual mistakes, one can get the reasoning all wrong and one can behave savagely toward one's neighbors or toward other life. One can can be guilty of all of these things, but no one is "evil".

Perhaps, by "evil" you mean these things rather than something mystical. In that event, never mind.

I will conceed to your argument. It was a poor choice of words. I did not mean the mystical meaning of the word. Rather was trying to convey the idea that people are not born with a desire to cause harm to others, that is a trait that must be learned. Even 'most' mental illness that results in violence can be traced back to environmental factors.

I'm working on building a working model of my Space Elevator, but it won't be a one-day project.

Good luck on the space elevator. That will be a game changer for cheap access to space if we can make it work. Although if Space-X gets all the bugs worked out on making their components 100% reusable, they claim the can get launch costs down to the $100 per pound range in ten years or so. A trip to the ISS would not be much more than a 30 day European Cruise.

I'm not overly optimistic for Space-X even thought they are very smart & hard workers. There is an increasing amount of moisture in the air that makes it require more fuel to escape gravity.

But, if they had a stop off up top of the elevator platform to grab extra fuel plus take-off up where the air's thinner they'd be a shoe-in... plus be having all kinds of fuel to reach the Moon and return. At that time the ISS would also come into its own.

If they could work up a system to pick up all the orbitting space junk and process it to build a larger ship it could be supplied over several trips for a much longer journey, plus have enough supplies to set up a camp on Mars, all in the first trip.

A super large ship made up of junk satellites wouldn't look PRETTY, and they would probably bar us forever from Battlestar Gallactica Academy. It would be exceedingly RAG-TAG.

Technically speaking Kelly it would really be best if the space junk was used to make a shipbuilding factory but they currently have their sights set on a Mars landing. Perhaps when it reached Mars orbit it could be doing shipbuilding there.

Two birds, one stone. It would be the ISS for Mars.

Use of the word "evil" is rather common and to be expected. It's a shorthand word that, more times than not, reflects a bit - and sometimes a good deal - of intellectual laziness in most people to mean "whatever it is that makes me uncomfortable or I otherwise disagree with and can't or won't explain otherwise". At any rate, I disagree that none of us are born with a desire to cause harm to others. In fact, in general it is civility that must be learned, not savagery. For most of the species, civility is a conscious choice rather than an instinctive one. True, many just naturally deal with others with kindness and fairness and, perhaps, in the future civility may be as instinctive to mankind as savagery is now and has been in the past. As for mental illness, probably true that many cases have environmental causes, however, many are genetic. Of course, one could argue that it is environment that pushes all genetic diversity so environment, yes, may be the ultimate cause of both physical and mental function and dysfunction.

I'd love to believe as you that human beings are born gentle creatures, however, history and experience does not bear that belief. I would agree, though, our species seems headed in that direction, albeit very slowly.

It's hard to say which of us is correct Naumadd. Man has show a tremedous capacity for violence for as far back as we are able to dig up evidence. However, is that proof of a natural state of being, or that environment creates the need for violence. For example, in some south sea islands when they were finst discovered, they had ample food and water and no other tribes near by. They were extreamly peaceful, had no crime, and no deviant behavior. So, even the ample history of mans violence can't rule out environmental factors like scarce resources as the cause. Most animals when faced with hunger will do what ever they have to to survive or face extinction.

Something needs to be done thats for sure. If we don't do it, it will be done to us. Change is comming, we can decide how that takes shape.

There is one immutable rule => the House always wins. So what we live in is a system where the House always wins. Right now it is winning by keeping everyone down who they perceive has the ability to destroy their House were they to "get their legs under them" and get to their feet.

As long as they keep preventing people from tasting what they enjoy every day the Rule remains solidly in place. The only way to replace the House is to break them at their own game.

I authored a small novel after my accident in 1989 and as I wrote it I had even many more ideas occur to me than just getting electricity provided by lightning (using the parallel induction off the bolt as they travel down the metal lightning poles). One of those ideas included in my literary work was a way to use the awesome sun heat at Death Valley as an EVAPORATION CAULDRON, siphoning ocean water from the Pacific laden with specks of GOLD. Instead of extracting Gold from the water my new system was extracting the WATER FROM THE GOLD. Had my system been built we would already be back on the Gold Standard years ago.

I never published my novel. I Copyrighted it, but lacked the funds since I was on full disability and Virginia Worker's Compensation was using physicians NOT TO HELP ME BUT TO ENTRAP ME AS FAKING MY AWESOME INJURIES. Since the Virginia doctors were their agents of Hate against the Disabled on the job I have remained disabled. Virginia is a Fascist Commonwealth IMHO an arm of the state that tried to starve my family to death. Why?

Because when I Copyrighted that novel containing so many genius-level ideas I HAD IDENTIFIED MYSELF TO THEM AS SOMEONE THEY NEEDED TO STOP. And so it happened.

But, there are many people who would not believe my story. There have been many saying to me well, SINCE YOU DIDN'T PUBLISH YOUR NOVEL THEN NOBODY SAW YOUR IDEAS. HA HA! That is untrue. They did. One of my ideas was a way to make a UFO turn on a dime in flight and a few years or so later that system showed up in the military's new jet planes called the X-series, X-37 to be exact. That jet would turn so incredibly fast it would crush a human pilot against the inside of the cockpit so they made it as a PILOTLESS DRONE.

So I can know for a fact they did read my work and they cherrypicked out what they wanted a NEW KILLING MACHINE ENHANCEMENT.

11 years later in November 2000 I suddenly had an idea how to make a new kind of WINDMILL that could generate electricity from a much slower wind speed than a round rotating windmill as it went back & forth a reciprocating machine. I happened across a comany right here in my own town called THE EGG FACTORY, went to see them and gave them my ideas for 3 devices, two besides the "Wind Engine" as I called it.

Then I contacted the nearby University in Blacksburg VA (Virginia Tech) so a rep came 60+ miles to my home and I showed him what I had, THINKING THE LEGAL AGREEMENTS FOR PROTECTION FROM THE EGG FACTORY WOULD PREVENT THEM BEING STOLEN. Well, one of their past alumni from VT received it from them shooting it to him and it was exactly what his FOUR INVENTIONS NEEDED. He used it to make a fuelless airplane that was sitting on the shelf waiting for a chump to invent the engine it needed, who was me.

So you see, I know for a fact these people are all cross-integrated helping each other in a web of unity to defraud any Copyrighted Author and any Patented Inventor, keeping them both down financially. YOU CAN'T BEAT THE HOUSE. THEY ARE HOLDING THE HILL. They control the vertical and they control the horizontal. They use what they want that has uses in War but the Good Stuff that would enhance everyone will be stopped.

To imagine that you or Fresco can win against them is a mind mirage. They'll take from you what they want, which is whatever they can turn into Gold in their pockets, and store the rest for after they've crushed the masses I suppose. Once I realized the name of their game and felt their whip on my family not allowing me to make any monies at all for them, I began inventing many more engines.

And when they thought they had crushed my spirit God gave me insight into EVEN BETTER ENGINES, so I began posting them all over the Internet to PROVE I WAS BEING STOPPED, GREAT NEW NON-POLLUTING ENGINES, BEING STOPPED. So they stepped up the pace against me and through me God stepped up the pace back against them.

It only took a few more years to prove the existence of the Anti~Christ as I explained further down this page. However, along the way as I was dropping inventions like breadcrumbs to them and proving their Evil was Real I also followed Jesus' instruction to "not give pearls to Swine", doing that by withholding key components of every new engine system I released. I GAVE THEM ENOUGH TO BUILD THE ENGINES BUT NOT ENOUGH TO SEE THEIR TRUE, FULL GLORY OF GOD IN THE HIGHEST.

Oh sure, they can build my engines, and they will work right well, but they have not gotten the pearls of how they will work THE BEST and never will. They are working feverishly now to develop a machine that can pluck our ideas out of our mind. They want my pearls really bad, WITHOUT EVER PAYING FOR THEM. However, that will never happen. In my lifetime I have suffered many awesome diseases and head concussions, and Meniere's Syndrome, and Lyme's Disease so the onslaught of damage has given me a constant case of BRAIN SCREAMING NOISE I SERIOUSLY DOUBT THEIR MACHINES WOULD EVER BE ABLE TO STEAL ANYTHING FROM MY SCREAM-STUFFED BRAIN.

Our new landlord back in 1982, when I had my 1st idea for a Can Crusher, he told me he once had an idea for a lock that could never be picked. I asked him how it went. He said he tossed the idea out the window and forgot about it.

The people running this circus have managed to make inventors look silly & stupid through the movies. Fred McMurray in Flubber, Doc in Back to the Future and so on. What do you know about LATERAL power structures ? Because , that is what we are talking about here . Wikipedia is one . A global lateral power structure NOT based on money , but on resources . The Catholic Church is a very large cult but the Bible presents a new form of government the Catholic Church refused to accept. They decided to write their own ticket... using scare tactics (threats of everlasting hellfire) to get people to buy them.

The Bible doesn't even teach that belief. "Fire" was used to represent everlasting destruction not torture, just death, the opposite of life. True Bible teachings and the Catholic Church as well the Protestants they all left the Bible behind centuries ago.

At Armageddon these false churches are the first to go. Says so, in Revelation, Chapter 18, amongst others. Jesus is extremely perturbed over all the evil they have done in his name. They get roasted soon.

It also sounds like you're projecting a borderless world and that would be great too, but one large group of people like that would be like one superlarge herd of cattle. And once one in that herd sensed something was wrong, or in the process of going wrong, what you'd have is a worldwide stampede people begging to go back to the way things used to be.

Yes, it would be borderless, but not like one large herd of cattle. Because people would be free to express them selves I would expect more diversity, not less. People will still be free to practice what ever religion they wish, or maintain their culture. Some things may change like how we educate children. We will teach them to think for them selves instead of indoctrination as we do now.

We do. In fact, last year on June 15 Rev. 6 v 12 was fulfilled and the following day Verse 13 also went down. Perhaps that should give you an inkling how much you do NOT know "where I'm coming from".

We are the furthest thing from a Utopia than you can get. The key aspect of The Venus Project as you say is change. That is the biggest stumbling block in all things. People, even those who say they embrace change are quick to tire of the promise of something better if it doesn't happen over night. Incremental change is antithetical to today's "gotta have it now" society. Great expectations are normally torn down from within. It's not that I wouldn't want to see change to our society take place, it is greatly needed. But the Powers that Be either want to keep it from happening, or want a percentage of it.

If such a Society was established worldwide, and everybody had all the pot they wanted to smoke (or coke, or whatever), the day would come a shortage of TOILET PAPER and the fingerpointing would start, and the worldwide riots would start like dominoes on fire falling.

Then everybody would whip out the AK-47's they stashed away "just in case" the bubble burst and the bloodletting would begin. It would all unravel fast until it got us back to where we are RIGHT NOW.

You are probably right scooter3282, the ones in power will not give it up without a fight. I wish it were otherwise because I don't like violence. If this is ever possible, it will likely only happen after a global economic melt down of biblical proportions; the total failure of all banks. We may be headed that way soon as the ponzie scheme of a debt based economy is starting to really come apart (witness Europe).

That's what we should all be preparing for, Kelly. It amazes me that so many people are not aware of how close we are teetering on the edge of that total economic melt down. It will usher in a very violent time I think. People will blame the moneyed elite when things collapse. That is why the elites are currently in the process of forming their own private armies to protect themselves. It is coming I'm afraid, I agree with your synopsis. Maybe we can pick up the pieces afterward, if any of us survive.

Many people over the years have had ideas that would have improved the world. They get squelched by large corporations that don't want the competition. If your beleif is the the devil is involved, then he must have agents in the physical realm to do his bidding, and they would be the wealthy elite who run those corporations. If you want to defeat satan, start by removing power from his minions. Get rid of the money system that enables them to have power.

In a moneyless, classless system, no individual will be able to hold a position of power that can be ued to repress any other person. You would be free to invent and try your ideas, in fact you would be encouraged.

When U.S. families began having to go to Flea markets, yard sales and roadside home sales to buy clothes for their children to start school that was when nothing happened also. So now half the country is on Food Stamps, government subsistence programs and HANDOUTS.

The reason they tell all their plans (usually via the movie plots) is because once they have slain billions they can look back and say with a Christ-clean conscience WE TOLD YOU SO, YOUR FAULT. The precedent for this is found in HAARP, the system that can move clouds and storms. The ultimate objective is to probably produce Armageddon without even waiting for Jesus. That would allow them to be God and Jesus and Anti-Christ all at the same time.

From your religious background you likely recall how Satan when still in heaven he had full access to God's court. There he could overhear every plan God spoke.

Most every move I make Satan's people have seemed to know them ahead of time so I must assume the Rules are total openness, the opposite of how humans would conduct warfare & battles. The ultimate victory over one's opponent is to tell him your every move THEN WIN ANYWAY.

You recall Harold Camping and May 21 2011 right? Well, after that was a fail he set a new Date of October 21 2011, 5 months later. He was of course wrong again however in September I began running into an increasing number of 5's, and Camping had set his new date 5 months after the first one.

Another thing Satan is famous for is how he will give out Dates but he always gives out Dates that are later than when they are to really happen. So when we hear, and see, everybody looking for something to happen on December 21 2012 we can know with confidence the real time for something to happen is before that.

The fact of the matter is that on December 21 2010 was also significant, a full two years ahead of this year's date. A rare lunar eclipse happened on 12/21/2010. It is my opinion that what 12/21/2012 was supposed to represent has already happened back then... which basically means all the populations looking FORWARD are vastly off.

The only religious group on Earth who is being kept up-to-speed by Jehovah God is Jehovah's Witnesses led by their Governing Body, and the Governing Body enjoys real-time information given them direct downline from Christ Jesus. Not the Roman Catholic Pope nor any Protestant Billy Grahams and sons. We're it. Anyone who intends to survive what is about to go down has to join up with the JW's, and be quick about it.

Which means you have to set aside all your dreams for the time being just like all my inventions and ideas have had to sit also because these matters must be resolved first. That is the Order of Priorities. Put everything else on the back burner and find one of our Kingdom Halls ASAP is my strong advice. In our current system we have some really bad people who want nothing more than to hurt us for their own gain. To make matters worst, most of them are in positions of great power in the US; politicians, CEO's. That's why the proposal by the Venus Project does away will all of them. No money or private ownership; no CEO's or any one else with power for that matter. No central government; no politicians. No taxes, no debt, no income...everything in life is free.

You see, when you remove money and the need to accumulate wealth based on a model of scarce resources you remove the source of all evil, greed, envy, ego. Why would anyone resort to trying to take anything from someone else, when they can have anything in the world they desire for free.

You have to somehow erase all of you pre-conceived, and indoctrinated ideas about everything, and take a fresh look at this. It's more than a game changer, it's a completely new paradigm on how society is structured from the ground up.

Don't you still need money to get the materials to make this happen?

If you start building today, yes, unfortunately. I've been giving some though to how we might transition peacefully without the need for a global crisis and revolution. I don't have any good answers yet, but there may be some way to start with a hybrid system, and over 10 to 20 years ease into it. Perhaps shorten the work day for each position to keep full employment until the work day is so short it become optional or voluntary. I'm going to give this area more attention in the next couple of articles.

The removal of money is the key for me . I don't really care what it looks like , it is that concept ALONE that is great cause fir hope . If we did only that , i think it would be a great improvement ..

Fortunately within the next decade that will be an ugly experience from the past as new automated systems in a few more years will be indistinguishable from talking to a real person; no more loops. But that is also the down side, because that operator you would have transferred to will be out of a job. Hence, the need for a new system.

The technology is going to happen whether we want it too or not; computers are cheaper than people, they don't complain, work 24x7, and never ask for a sick day or take vacations. The real question then and the point the article leads into, is how are we going to survive as a society when all of our jobs have been replaced by technology. The current system is not designed to permit that scenario, so we must find an alternative. Instead of technology turning us all into out of work homeless people, the fruits of technology should be shared by all. The Venus Project offers one solution that does that.

Also we hold no illusion that the Venus Project is the perfect utopia. Perfection implies no room for improvement. The people will always be free to improve the system as they see fit.

You can usually get out of those loops by saying "representative" or "operater". Another thing that I find works pretty well is listen to the main menu, pick an option, then go back to the main menu. Repeat it a few times and the computer thinks you're lost so it sends you to talk to a real person.

Properly managing the world's resources is the way to save society instead culling human population, which is of course appears to be the goal of most futurists.

The future is not for everyone. It's not for the vast majority of human beings currently living.
You either embrace the winds of change, or fall off. The people's of the world had ample amounts of time to make themselves useful and meaningful and that age has come to an end. The cream has come to top, and will be taken into the new age where we can build a new society, a new city of man, that will make jealous the denizens of heaven.

How do you know that you will be included in the "we" who are to build this new society? Are you something special?

It never ceases to amaze me that this basic fact, that increasing population -and- increasing technology mean less work to do for more people is completely ignored by so many (even so many who's job is economic forecasting). Those who loath the "nanny state", "welfare state" going to have to accept it. When you have vast numbers of people and no work, well... You either take care of those people or it's going to get extremely ugly (viva la revolucion!). I see technology wiping out the vast majority of work in the pretty near future. Good voice recognition and "expert systems" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Expert_system and you wipe out most phone jobs. Very close to having that. A lot of money is being put into self-driving vehicles which will eventually wipe out a great many driving jobs. Even the areas people assume are "safe" aren't. Fast food companies have been looking into self-service. Get rid of the cashiers, machines do the "cooking", credit cards and bill acceptors, all you need is a couple people as over-site. Even a great many "professional" jobs can be eliminated soon with just the voice and expert systems.

No fool. This isn't about continuing the old way. All those dependent on it are made to be eliminated. There is no escaping it. It's futile to rebel. You cannot. We already own you if you can't feed and clothe yourself. And you will be put down with ease.

The die was purposely cast this way to eliminate the excess and worthless population in preparation for the move into the New age.

And now we are moving on to the New age, with us we will make a new human, even better than Adam. Man will redeem man from death itself and a new city of man will be built. You are not made to continue.

There is no need to force a population reduction under the Venus Project. As is happening in the industrialized world today, education will lead people to consider smaller families. Under the Venus Project, computers will closely track the carrying capacity of the Earth; arable land, fish and livestock, all resources. Resources would then be maintained at naturally replenishing levels, and non-renewable's would be 100% recycled. Much of the land between cities would be returned to it's natural wild state. If there ever developed a shortage of a resource, say through an unexpected natural disaster, then that shortage would be spread among all the worlds population equally so that no one group might suffer.

You don't understand, do you? It's not about "resources". There is more than enough for us. It's about building a better human. Surpassing Adam. The technology is now here and the New Age will be Wondrous! You and your fantasies will never be fulfilled because you, like many others of your kind, were not made to continue.

I'm a great fan of Ray Kurzweil and Peter Diamandis. I have read everything Ray has ever written, and have pre-ordered Peters new book 'Abundance' due out next month. I believe we will eventually merge, become immortal and transcend this existence through technology. However, I still have empathy for those of us who still have skin, to create a world without suffering, until that day when we 'all' are worthy of transcendence.

Not everyone can be allowed to achieve transcendence and become gods on earth. Because if everyone is a god, no one is a god. We need lower forms as worshipers. But only a limited amount. That's why there will be a great culling of the human population, in the billions.

We have all the technology. We financed it. It's ours. We will transcend first and be the undisputed gods of earth, those few that we let remain will not transcend but will worship us.

You are incredibly late to the table. If you want the scraps left over. If you want to survive the great culling and be given a spot as a worshiper, you must make the appropriate allegiances and prove yourself worthy.

What need does a god have for worshipers, except to fill a need to feel superior, the ego. Why does a god even care what the little people do, or how many of them there are. If 1,000 worshipers are good, then wouldn't 1,000,000 be better.

Such feelings imply that your notion of god hood is seriously flawed by attributing human flaws to that of a god. A flawed, imperfect god is no god at all, but just an imperfect human, powerful perhaps, but still human.

I like that you included that. It's a proven fact that higher literacy rates among women leads to a reduced birth rate, a lower mortality rate among mothers and infants. China's "quota" of one child per couple was rash and unnecessary. The same thing could have been accomplished through various types of education.

Have you ever seen any of the "Appleseed" movies where hey live in Olympus with a bioroid (part human part machine with the capability to feel most emotions removed from their systems) Athena as there leader? I think THAT'S a cool idea but I'd resent the bioroids, at least a little, at least in the beginnings, and I don't think I could ever trust them completely, but seeing how that's how I feel about most humans it wouldn't be too bad... I'd prefer Athena to Gingrich anyway.

I was unable to open the page. Anyhow, I'm not surprised that evil minds would use technology to enslave people. And it isn't the fault of technology. It's our fault for letting evil rise to power.

It's very easy to "predict" something when you are trying to make it happen. The Rockefeller's family history in this country has been all about bringing forth a dystopia of absolute elite enslavement.

All the more reason to not let that happen. Technology can be a two edged sword. You can use a rocket to drop bomb or fly to the stars. We must choose wisely, we don't have much time left before the choice will be made for us.
