You're living in Superman's Opposite World since obviously you are the envious (and crazy) one with a right wing POV made of rubbish! Jennifer Graholm is a brainy ivy-league beauty who was elected governor of one of our largest states at the ripe old age of 43 and served the max allowed by Michigan's term limits, two full terms. If she hadn't been born in Vancouver I guarantee she (as a BFOBO) would have been sitting in Biden's spot right now. But her fans can still take heart and hope she makes it to SCOTUS. She personifies common sense.

No im a democrat with common sense. She sat Michigan up for a fall and fall it did look at it now with Snyder its on its way back up,slowly but up. Its not me with a right wing pov its you that has fallen far to the left it seems.I hold the views the democrat party held until the 60's after Kenedy they seem to have lost their way it seems now we border on socialism instead of personal responsibility a shame really.

Here are just a few fun facts to burst your Kennedy-nostalgia bubble: In 1963 the highest income bracket was subject to a federal income maximum tax rate of 91% but by 1911 the max rate for the highest earners had shrunk to 40%. (And by suspending the payroll tax, Obama has not only kept income tax rates at historically low levels, he has, in fact, LOWERED the overall rate.)
Also, this increasingly socialist state you believe we're living in would require a HUGE and GROWING federal workforce. Well, guess what? In 2010 the total number of federal workers was 4.3 million, 1 million workers LESS than the total of 5.5 million workers employed by the federal government back in good old 1962! Furthermore, while we've been shedding these million plus workers over the past 50 years, our nation's population has been increasing by more than 100 million people! So don't start calling us the USSA just yet!
We are living in an era of unprecedented corporate influence (in our lifetime at least). Both parties are guilty of stuffing wads of corporate cash into their campaign coffers, but only the Republicans are proud of it! And now they have the Citizens-United sponsored primary to show for it. (Orwell himself couldn't have come up with a more cynical case name.)
PS: I too have strong ties to MI and its great people, which would NOT be coming back if Granholm hadn't helped sell the Obama administration on the automakers. Your home boy, Romney, basically told you to go to hell, yet he was all for handing out gazillions to his Wall Street billionaire buddies.

Oh, you must have meant to say thanks to Jimmy Carter, since the number of federal employees increased in 1980 as soon as Reagan took office. (He exploded the deficit, if you recall. Even Dick Cheney knows that.)
