NATURAL GAS EXXPOSED

coolplanet
If we don't end America's growing addiction to natural gas, the gas industry will ruin our communities, our health and our climate.

ExxonMobil, Chesapeake Energy and Range Resources have hundreds of millions of dollars to spend lobbying Congress, influencing elections and buying airtime for their slanted advertisements. To stop them, we'll need to work together.

    • There are so many gae wells that have been capped because they don't want to flood the market with it. More than enough to bring the gas price down to where it should be. But because of greed they will never let it happen. I know of fifteen wells that where so hot they almost lost them(AKA Blow out's) but hey who wants to pay less than a dollar for a gallon of LPG ??

    • Ex-worker blasts shale gas industry.

At least some have a conscience.

There's money to be made in solar as well. Coal miners down South left mines to install solar. Saying it's about the money is a copout. There are more important things than money... like LIFE.

    • I work in the Natural Gas Processing Machinery Industry. We are 2 years behind on orders for our machinery, and I hope it stays that way. I work 55-60 hours per week, and things are going very, very well, with no let up in sight.

Keep up the good work, guys.

I certainly understand how fracking is good for local economies in the short term.
But it is extremely carbon intensive and actually dirtier than coal.
Are good paying jobs really worth the long term cost to the climate and public health?
Are dollars all that matter anymore???
