The graphic story of 55DSL's Fall Winter '08 Collection was inspired by hi-fidelity stereo equipment and twisted references to the late 80's. Quirky audio cassette graphics, as well as old LP covers, are corrupted with our usual irreverence. Besides the main theme, we still haven't freed ourselves from our habitual obsession with dynamic and abstract geometric graphics- sometimes softened up by mimicking a hand drawn style.

The Penny Pyramid Project and the President of Rainbow Children’s Academy have announced a collaboration and pilot program to establish what they hope will the first of many annual Penny Pyramid Collection Drives for charity.
It is estimated that in the State of Florida alone there are over http://quickfacts.census.gov/qfd/states/12000.html 7,624,378 households with an average count of 500 pennies in each. This number represents over 3.8 billion coins or 38,000,000 dollars in pennies that are out of circulation. It is the projects goal to tap into this hidden pool of coins as a financial resource to be used towards community improvements and charitable donations.

Man Sells Massive Star Wars Toy Collection
Some guy who let his collecting addiction get the best of him is finally selling it all. Included in the auction are over 1,160 modern Star Wars figures, a bunch of vintage ones, and some randoms from other movies. The starting bid is $25,450 and theres a "Buy-It-Now" price set at $34,500. However there is only one day left and not a single bid. Probably because people are smart and don't want $25,000 worth of modern Star Wars figures. The seller himself admits "This is a big step I'm taking in order to move on and accomplish a new plan I have for my future." No shit it is. Apparently Plan A - 'Live a life of celibacy in your aunt's attic with a massive Star Wars collection' finally lost its luster. Go figure. Man Has Every Super Soaker Ever Made
There are a lot of pretty stupid things to collect in the world, and Super Soakers is one of them. This is allegedly every model made to date, including small variations. Seeing how most are still in their original packaging, I get the feeling this guy doesn't have too many friends to play water-guns with. Or maybe he's ensuring a high resale value when he sells them to other collectors on eBay. The only problem is there aren't any other collectors, because collecting Super Soakers is ridiculous. About one-sixth of the books, monographs and bound periodicals at the Library of Congress weren't where they were supposed to be because of flaws in the systems for shelving and retrieving materials, according to a survey to be made public at a congressional hearing today.
