    • Pro women's footballer turns pole dancer!

As an ex-professional women's football player, Eva Roob is used to scoring - but now she's an erotic dancer, it's the blokes who want to score with her!

Eva (23), who played for Nurnberg in the German second division, will be appearing at Germany's biggest erotic trade fair, Venus 2008, in Berlin. She will take part in the beauty competition - but don't expect the blonde bombshell to be wearing her football boots!

Her football career began in 2001, and she was allowed to skip school to keep her place in the team. But the midfielder, whose stage name is now Samira Summer, soon ran into difficulty: “Unfortunately, I couldn’t make ends meet on my football salary,” she said. “I had to supplement my income with other types of work.” By that, Eva meant erotic dancing at company parties and events or in bars, or posing for sexy photos…

“I would come home from my erotic gigs at around five in the morning, then I’d have to be on the pitch by 10am. That was really stressful,” she explained.

There were also problems with her fellow footballers. Eva added: “In the changing rooms, my teammates were whispering about me. And I began to realise that I couldn’t do two such demanding jobs. I had to choose.” She decided against football and for more erotic work.

“I really enjoyed playing football. But my new job is far, far more exciting.”

• Lewis Hamilton: "I don't feel the pressure"

For a driver with a five point lead going into the last two races of the Formula 1 season, Lewis Hamilton is under a lot of pressure.

Rivals and critics alike are eagerly looking for signs that the 23-year-old McLaren-Mercedes driver is choking as the championship battle reaches its climax - can he handle it?

Four days before the penultimate race in Shanghai on Sunday, the driver everyone is watching - who is seeing Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger - talked to BILD.

BILD: Many of your fellow drivers complain about your style of driving. Does all the criticism affect you?

Hamilton: None of the criticism affects me. The other drivers on the track are hardcore competitors. When you’re going for the world title, and are in the lead like I am, then your rivals will try and put as much pressure on you as possible, both on and off the track.

BILD: Has your driving become too aggressive?

Hamilton: I don’t think I’m aggressive but I do drive passionately. Normally I don’t drive into other cars. Felipe [Massa] drove into mine on Sunday. He damaged my car on the chance that he might score points and he did. But that’s already ancient history.

BILD: Are you going to change your driving style?

Hamilton: I am always working on my style. Racing in Japan, I noticed some really intense manoeuvres by some of the other drivers. That’s what makes Formula 1 what it is: we are always operating at full throttle. That’s what makes the sport so interesting for me.

    • World's most famous golf course 'could sink into sea by 2050'

St Andrews golf course could sink into the sea by 2050, climate change experts have warned.

Professor Jan Bebbington, the director of the St Andrews Sustainability Institute, was asked to prepare a report visualising the effects of climate change on Scotland's future society.

She said the old course, which is right on the sea, could be destroyed by strong storm surges caused by climate change unless protection is put in place.

"There is a lot of coastal erosion going on already because of stronger storms," she said. "I wanted to use something iconic to demonstrate what we stand to lose."

The National Trust has recently warned a number of iconic monuments around the coast will disappear due to climate change.

Prof Bebbington said even if Scotland manages to cut carbon emissions by 80 per cent, as proposed in new legislation, the country will have to prepare for climate change - unless the rest of the world also manges to reduce greenhouse gases significantly.

She said Scotland will have to prepare for more severe winter storms, flooding and rising sea levels by co-ordinating a "managed retreat from vulnerable coastal locations".

However she said Scotland could also be a "happier place" than it was by embracing the potential of renewable energy and cutting pollution.

The vice chairwoman of the Sustainable Development Commission Scotland said: "I am trying to say don't assume the way we live now and the things we take for granted will always be there.

"The Old Course is one example. It could be safe and I suspect it will attract a lot of investment to try to keep it safe.

"But it is on low lying ground and people should be asking themselves what if it - and other places we take for granted - was not there any more.

"In 2050 we will still work and have friends and do what we do now, but the world will be a very different place."

Prof Bebbington's work was commissioned by the David Hume Institute in Edinburgh.

    • Wakefield Trinity Wildcats prop Watene dies aged 31

Wakefield have announced the sudden death of prop Adam Watene.

The 31-year-old Cook Islands international is believed to have collapsed after
training in the gym this morning.

A short statement from the club read: 'The Wakefield Trinity Wildcats are sad to announce the sudden passing of Adam Watene.

'The circumstances surrounding Adam's death were sudden and unexpected.

'Everyone at the Wildcats' thoughts are with Adam's family, and we ask for their privacy to be respected at this difficult time.'

The club will not be making any further comment at this stage.

Former Castleford front-rower Watene joined the Wildcats in 2006 after a short stint with Bradford.

The strong-running forward caught the eye during Castleford's successful 2005
promotion campaign but he made only five first-team appearances before being
      allowed to join Wakefield.

In April this year Watene was given compassionate leave to travel to New Zealand following the death of his father.

Coach John Kear dedicated their win over Huddersfield in his absence to Watene
      and his family.

Watene is survived by his wife and two children.

In September last year, I took part in a Charity walk for raising money for Killin Mountain Rescue, the Mountain Rescue Dog Association and most of the money went towards setting free girls in Nepal suffering from neglect bu giving them education and a home. I took part in one of the days of the three day walk as many of us had other commitments. Many RYLA people took part in the full 50 mile walk. It was harder than it looks in this film; sorry there isn't much footage as I didn't have the time while walking. On Friday 21st September 2007 at 2pm, over 500 happy children and adults in sports gear took to Edinburgh's city centre to promote Edinburghs healthy, happy attitude to health and fitness. The free mile-long Happy Parade began on East Market Street, weaving down The Mound before heading west through Princes Street Gardens.

Edinburgh Leisure, which manages the citys leisure portfolio of 34 sports and leisure facilities, called on the people of Edinburgh to participate and dress up in their favourite sports gear such as swimming caps, gymnast and karate outfits as well as brandishing racquets and golf clubs to reflect the scope of physical activities available in Edinburgh.

The marchers joined cheerleaders, pipers, stilt walkers, elite Scottish athletes such as championship swimmer Robert Lang, and rising stars of the future including judoists, Emma Immrie and Sam Clark. Various Edinburgh rugby players, the current Miss Scotland, Nieve Jennings, and Radio Forth DJ, Mark Martin also marched the Happy Parade.
