FOX NEWS AND ITS CAMPAIGN AGAINST THE OBAMAS
Over the course of the past several months and since Barack Obama and his pastor have hit the mainstream media, race has been at the forefront of hot topics within the American political arena.
Following are various clips from conservative media outlets commenting on race, Barack and Michelle Obama, and offering often times skewed and ill perceived commentary on issues both within and outside of the black community.
Patriotism is not a characteristic of convenience, it must be present at greatest moments of triumph for a nation but must also be the root for unarmed critique and analysis of the actions of one's own country. America is a great nation but we have committed acts that are notable alongside some of the greatest atrocities in world history.
Truth cannnot be serial, constantly waiting for another perceived truth to come along and take its place. Truth can exist in multiple instances. The greatness of this nation along with the moral abomination of its acts in regard to human life. Over the course of the past several months and since Barack Obama and his pastor have hit the mainstream media, race has been at the f... more -

Ignoring Diversity, Runways Fade to White
Of the 101 shows and presentations posted on Style.com during the New York runway season, more than a third employed no black models, according to Women’s Wear Daily. Most of the others used just one or two. When the fashion caravan moved to London, Paris and Milan, the most influential shows — from Prada to Jil Sander to Balenciaga to Chloé and Chanel — made it appear as if someone had hung out a sign reading: No Blacks Need Apply. African-Americans at Iwo Jima, just for Clint Eastwood ...
I know that a lot of people think Spike Lee is being a racist. I believe he just wants us all to be more accurate in telling the history of America and make it more inclusive of the people who served and died for this country. That meaning representation of not only African Americans, latins, and Native Americans that served us courageously and lost their lives.

US is 'the world's leading jailer'
"The United States has 2.3 million people behind bars, more than any other country in the world and more than ever before in its history, Human Rights Watch said Friday.
The number represents an incarceration rate of 762 per 100,000 residents, compared to 152 per 100,000 in Britain, 108 in Canada, and 91 in France, HRW said in a statement commenting on Justice Department figures also released Friday.
"The new incarceration figures confirm the United States as the world's leading jailer," said David Fahti, HRW's US program director.
"Americans should ask why the US locks up so many more people than do Canada, Britain, and other democracies," he added.
The newly released figures show a sharp racial imbalance in the US prison population, with blacks outnumbering whites by six to one.
Nearly 11 percent of black men aged 30-34 are in prison, according to Justice Department figures.
HRW said blacks in the United States are 12 times more likely to be sent to jail for drug-related crimes than whites, even though drug use among the two races is about the same.
"Although whites, being more numerous, constitute the large majority of drug users, blacks constitute 54 percent of all persons entering state prisons with a new drug offense conviction," the rights group said." Childhood 'toy' revealed as ancient Persian relic
Owner John Webber says his grandfather gave him the 5.5-inch (14-centimetre) high mug to play with when he was a child, back in 1945.
He assumed the golden cup, which is decorated with the heads of two women facing in opposite directions, their foreheads garlanded with two knotted snakes, was made from brass.
But he decided to get it valued when he was moving house last year and was told it was actually a rare piece of ancient Persian treasure, beaten out of a single sheet of gold hundreds of years before the birth of Jesus Christ.

Higher Resolution presentations of the Game of Enlightenment ~ From a cosmic energetic perspective the Omni-centric root chakra is the basis of Dark Matter, the Black Hole or seed of all that comes into existence, the Void and the Oneness of All that is. Existence then expands into Atomic/Mineral/Elemental Structures which is the Second Dimensional domain of things and the building blocks of creativity, variety, contrast and abundance. Upon the third dimension as held with the energy of the Solar System and the Solar Plexus it becomes the power control and focus for manifestation. It is herein that existence arrives at a spatial temporal mirror or reflection of what is communicated to be created from Cosmic Thought as exemplified by Light and Love.

White = good, black = bad
In the 1940s Kenneth and Mamie Clark designed the doll test to examine how black children were impacted by segregation. Most of the children were able to identify racial difference. The children also readily assigned positive attributes to the white doll and negative attributes to the black doll.
The year is now 2008, and it has been fifty-four years since the Brown V. Board of Education. One would assume that within such a large time span that much would have changed. Unfortunately, this is not the case. When tested today black children still chose the white doll over the black doll. It is clear that we have not escaped the legacy of slavery. Systemic racism continues to stunt the growth, and self-esteem of our children. In the 1940s Kenneth and Mamie Clark designed the doll test to examine how black children were impacted by segregation. NYPD sued for not investigating missing African-Americans
"From almost the very beginning the police refused to assigned sufficient manpower, or take the case seriously. When Carmichael called to report her daughter missing after the initial 24 hour waiting period she was told, "Lady, why are you calling here? Your daughter is 21. These officers should not have taken the report in the first place." The next day, April 26, the complaint was marked "closed." Her family repeatedly begged officers to investigate Ramona's case. It took a plea from a local politician that was contacted by the family for a case to even be "re-opened"."

Yesteryear’s New York: The Belly of the Beast
During the 1970s and 80s, an adventurous blonde named Jill Freedman with a quick eye for the unusual and bizarre focussed her camera upon the spirited characters and gritty sidewalks of a now-bygone era in New York City life. This modernist documentarian was a self-taught photographer who captured raw, intimate images in black and white, transforming urban scenes into theatrical dramas.
Freedman’s portrait of New York reflected a fallen city that was strewn with piles of garbage. Prostitutes and bag ladies walked the streets, while junkies staked out abandoned tenements next to children playing in vacant lots. For reasons involving both a shift in photographic styles and her own declining personal circumstances, Ms. Freedman faded from the popular scene in the late 1980s. But today, at a moment when much of Manhattan is awash in money and glamour, Freedman’s photographic legacy offers us a vivid portrait of a metropolis once defined by violence, poverty and disarray, a New York that once was.
Photographs, a video and photo-gallery are included. During the 1970s and 80s, an adventurous blonde named Jill Freedman with a quick eye for the unusual and bizarre focussed her camera u... more -
