Matt Damon's wife Luciana gives birth to girl
Matt Damon's wife Luciana gave birth to a baby girl Wednesday, his spokeswoman said. The baby's name is Gia Zavala Damon, spokeswoman Jennifer Allen told The Associated Press, adding: "Everyone is great and she is a healthy, beautiful baby girl."
She wouldn't give any further details.
Damon, 37, met wife Luciana, 32, in 2003 while she was working as a bartender in Florida and he was filming "Stuck on You." They tied the knot in December 2005 in New York during a private ceremony attended by the bride's daughter, Alexa, now 10, from a previous marriage.

Matt Damon and Thandie Newton have lent their famous faces for a London photo shoot – but these were no glamour shots. The stars (along with Joely Richardson and other celebs) were photographed destroying toys – meant to symbolize the destruction of childhood in Darfur.
April 13, named "Global Day for Darfur," marks the fifth anniversary of genocide in the Sudan region – so some children who live there have known nothing but killings for as long as they've lived. This is a documentary following three men as they run across the Sahara Desert through six countries to bring awareness to the water crisis of Africa. I believe the release date is still to be determined. Matt Damon is the narrator who is also involved with H2O Africa.. http://www.h2oafrica.org, a foundation working to build wells in Africa to give people clean water and hope which is also linked in the link to this story. The first time I distinctly remember seeing it was in NYPD Blue back in...what...the early 90s? Since then, hyper-edited hand-held camera work has become so common that action movies that actually use tripods seem to be in the minority. For a lot of people, this culminated in the latest Bourne flick, The Bourne Ultimatum, a film which averages 2 seconds per shot and has actually caused a few people to throw up when watching it on the IMAX screen (what a dumb idea that was.)In the linked article, Roger Ebert (though only Film critic to win a pulitzer) weighs in on the whole thing.Personally I loved Bourne Ultimatum, perhaps having learned to let shaky cam wash over my irises in a zombified stupor.
