Actor John Cleese gets to know Colin, a red ruffed lemur at Bristol Zoo on July 22 2008 in Bristol, England. The Monty Python star, who grew up in Weston-Super-Mare and went to school in Bristol, was there to promote a series of performances he is conducting next week in aid of the Zoo. John Cleese has a passion for lemurs and their conservation, he says started from school boy visits to Bristol Zoo and he has even had a species of wooly lemur's named after him. Gary Beach stars as King Arthur in Spamalot, the goofy musical lifted by Eric Idle (or, as he puts it, "lovingly ripped off") from Monty Python and the Holy Grail. From Way Back in 1976! The Birth of The Rutles!
Courtesy of Eric Idle and Neil Innes' semi-brilliant, "Rutland Weekend Television", with a classic Idle tale investigating the disease we call...Love, followed by the first appearance of the Pre-Fab Four in their original line-up and Eric's first version of what became the intro to the film, "The Rutles in All You Need Is Cash", which came out a, not so very distant, time later and went on to become the legendary reel of classic celluloid that it isn't today.
