    • Lawsuit accuses big oil of conspiracy to deceive public about climate change

Attorney Stephen Susman helped file a groundbreaking lawsuit earlier this year on behalf of 400 Inupiat villagers in the Alaskan town of Kivalina who are being forced to relocate because of flooding caused by global warming. The suit accuses twenty oil, gas and electric companies, including ExxonMobil, Chevron, BP, ConocoPhillips and Peabody, of being responsible for emitting millions of tons of greenhouse gases causing the Arctic ice to melt.

This from a man who first took on big tobacco, but these guy's are far bigger and scarier. Philip Morris and BAT couldn't get no wars going on in their name.

    • Secret war against Iran underway

n an article in the "New Yorker", Seymour Hersh says that the President got up to 400 million dollars in a “Presidential Finding” and that top democrats were involved. An unidentified source told Hersh:"The Finding was focused on undermining Iran's nuclear ambitions and trying to undermine the government through regime change." The funds were requested at the same time that a US National Intelligence Estimate late last year stated that Iran had halted any kind of Nuclear Weapons program they may have had by 2003. Despite the report the Bush administration and many in congress continue to talk about Iran as a nuclear threat. In an interview with CNN, Hersh talked about Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney: "They believe that their mission is to make sure that before they get out of office next year, either Iran is attacked or it stops its weapons program," As well, a non binding resolution with bipartisan support is moving quickly through the house. The resolution calls on the White House to ban the export to Iran, of refined petroleum or gasoline and for "stringent inspection requirements on all persons, vehicles, ships, planes, trains, and cargo entering or departing Iran," and would give the President free reign in dealing with Iran including a naval blockade. n an article in the "New Yorker", Seymour Hersh says that the President got up to 400 million dollars in a “Presidential Finding” and ... more

A total of 26 candidates - half of them independents - will contest the by-election sparked by the resignation of senior Tory David Davis as an MP.

The ex-shadow home secretary quit to generate a debate on civil liberties, especially the government's 42-day detention limit for terror suspects. Neither Labour nor the Liberal Democrats will field a candidate in Haltemprice and Howden on 10 July.

At the 2005 general election, Mr Davis won with a majority of 5,116. It is thought to be the highest number of candidates ever to stand at a by-election in recent times.

    • Israeli 'suicide cop': family refute claims that he killed himself

The family of Raid Asaad Raid Ghanan, an Israeli guard who was shot in the head during the farewell ceremony for President Nicolas Sarkozy at Tel Aviv airport, refuted claims today that he committed suicide.

Mr Ghanan, 32, of the northern Druze village of Beit Jan, could not have killed himself said a family member to the local press.

"We scornfully reject the claims that our son took his own life. He was a kindhearted and happy person. He had a family and there was no reason for him to do such a horrible thing."

The officer's father, Asaad Ghanan, said he had last seen his son in good spirits. "He had a family, he had friends, he had plans for the future and had no reason to commit suicide.”

    • Huge 9/11 Update: Suspected Israeli espionage front company got $665,000 in Federa...

Please click on the link to see the original FedSpending.org source and related videos.

As you can see based on the government data that was released on August 28, 2007, Urban Moving Systems, whom the FBI suspected was an Israeli espionage front company tied to the September 11 terrorist attacks, was awarded federal funding in the amount of $498,750 and non-federal funding in the amount of $166,250 for a total of $665,000 and the payout date was June 22, 2001. So in other words, our government, whether knowingly or unknowingly funded an Israeli intelligence gathering operation tied to an FBI investigation, with American taxpayer's dollars!

FedSpending.org is a project of OMB Watch, a Washington based, non-profit citizen's watchdog group that is intended to promote government accountability and citizen participation.

But wait, it gets even nastier. Urban Moving Systems was also a moving scam operation as well. In December of 2001, the State of New Jersey obtained a court order giving inspectors from Consumer Affairs access to the facility allowing all citizens who had goods stored at Urban Moving Systems' Weehawken warehouse access to retrieve their belongings.

"Dominick Suter, owner of the company Urban Moving Systems, flees the country to Israel. The FBI later tells ABC News, “Urban Moving may have been providing cover for an Israeli intelligence operation.” Suter has been tied to the five Israeli agents caught filming the WTC attack. The FBI had questioned Suter around September 12, removing boxes of documents and a dozen computer hard drives. However, when the FBI returns a few days later, he is gone." • How industry’s assault on science threatens your health

In his new book, Doubt Is Their Product, David Michaels chronicles the “tricks of the trade” that mercenary scientists and product defense firms employ to delay or prevent regulation of chemicals that kill. Their tactics put them in the good company of cigarette companies and global warming deniers.

It’s a sordid story that’s been repeated too many times over many decades. Independent scientists identify a chemical or environmental hazard that threatens public health. Industry-funded researchers question the results of these studies and call for more research, delaying regulatory action that will protect citizens. The classic case is the long war waged by the tobacco companies. An internal memo from 1969 explains the aims of an industry that mastered the art of manufacturing uncertainty: “Doubt is our product since it the best means of competing with the ‘body of fact’ that exists in the minds of the general public. It is also the means of establishing a controversy.”

    • Japanese lawmaker takes 9/11 doubts global

In January 2008 Fujita, a member of the Democratic Party of Japan, asked the Japanese Parliament and Prime Minister Yasuo Fukuda to explain gaping holes in the official 9/11 story that various groups — including those who call themselves the "911 Truth Movement" — claim to have exposed.

Fujita, along with a growing number of individuals — including European and American politicians — are leading a charge to conduct a thorough, independent investigation of what happened on Sept. 11, 2001.

"Three or four years ago I saw some Internet videos like 'Loose Change' and '911 In Plane Site' and I began to ask questions," Fujita said in an interview, "but I still couldn't believe this was done by anyone but al-Qaida.

"Last year I watched more videos and read books written by professor David Ray Griffin (a professor emeritus of philosophy of religion and theology at Claremont Graduate University who wrote the most famous Truth Movement book, 'The New Pearl Harbor') about things such as the collapse of World Trade Center No. 7. This building, which was never hit by an airplane, collapsed straight down. Between the videos showing the way it fell, and the numerous reports of explosions, many are convinced that this building was demolished."

    • Mike Gravel calls for independent 9/11 investigation and prosecution of Bush and C...

The former Democratic senator from Alaska discusses his presidential campaign, his role in the releasing of the Pentagon Papers and his support for NYC 9/11 Ballot Initiative Campaign, a grassroots group seeking to place an initiative on the ballot of the November 6th general election allowing registered New York City voters to create a new commission to investigate 9/11. (Democracy Now!)

      ***

" I view this very, very serious. I don’t see the body politic having the guts to go out and make a new—a real new investigation, because the way politicians act, whether it’s Democrat or Republican, “Oh, we’ll investigate a little bit, but let’s not go too deeply, because we’ve got to cover their backside, because they’ll cover our backside,” and it’s too political in nature.

And so, with the commission that we’re talking about 9/11 here in New York City, now that’s a commission that’s going to be a real commission. And that commission now can make a true investigation as to what happened on 9/11, but not just 9/11, because the war is tied with that. And so, this will give us an opportunity to vertically go into all the backup to this data and have subpoena powers to have people testify. Now, if a person perjures themself here with the New York commission, it’s perjury, so it’s a crime. And so, maybe, maybe this will give us an opportunity to have justice, and we can begin subpoenaing the President of the United States—at that time, he’ll be the former president—and the Vice President and go on down into the boughs of the intelligence and a whole host of areas to get to the truth. We don’t know the truth. "

    • Zero: an investigation into 9/11 - Released June 10th '08

No less than 450 people worked on this documentary on a voluntary basis. They never received any kind of payment. Their reward is the movie itself, which they feel is an instrument to create awareness and a means to provoke a political debate in Europe.

ZERO: An Investigation into 9/11, has one central thesis - that the official version of the events surrounding the attacks on 9/11 can not be true. This brand new feature documentary from Italian production company Telemaco explores the latest scientific evidence and reveals dramatic new witness testimony, which directly conflicts with the US Government's account.

Featuring presentations from intellectual heavy weights; Gore Vidal, and Noble Prize winner Dario Fo, the film challenges assumptions surrounding the attacks. In the words of the Italian daily newspaper, Il Corriere de da Sera, "What results is a sequence of contradictions, gaps, and omissions of stunning gravity."

      SOURCE: http://zero911movie.com/site/

      Commentary:

This is just one of many examples coming forth in how the world views our current administration. If you believe the accounts of the 9/11 Commission Report, you should at least be concerned with how worldview is becoming more and more adverse to what our mainstream media is selling us.

Watch the first 15 min of the documentary.

The entire documentary should be up on Google Video within a week or so.

    • Does It Really Matter Who Sits in the Oval Office?

It's been obvious to me for decades that the people who sit in the hot seat (Clinton, Blair, Bush) don't really make any decisions or run the country. There is a far more powerful and sinister group behind everything that happens in the world - the skyrocketing price of gas and food, the poisoning of our food with high fructose corn syrup, fat, salt and sugar, chemicals, bioengineering, genetic manipuplation. My theory is the power people tried to control the masses with street drugs for a while and realized it costs too much to control the crime that spun out from them. So, now they'll just keep us fat, lazy and in a haze with junk food and no nutrients to feed our brains and bodies - and many folks are fine with that - eat KFC, McBuggers, candy, coloa and sit in a vegetative state in front of the computer or TV. This makes it so much easier to keep us quiet and in control.

    • Google Trends proves mainstream media '08 election corruption

Jerry Day uses Google Trends to show how relative web traffic compares to mainstream media election coverage. Easily illustrating the bias in the media and how they've managed to marginalize the true candidates for our nations desire for "change".

If people in this country really want change, they'll start realizing that their news sources are as corrupt as the politicians they are pushing on us, and they'll turn off their TV and start looking elsewhere for their news.

Makes you wonder why they picked Obama over Hillary. Makes you wonder why they'd pick a Republican candidate that represents Bush's values, when America so desperately wants "change".

If you ask this American. It's not going to matter what the Diebold machines tally up this election. All of the news sources will declare a winner come election day just like they did in 2000 & 2004. And the sleeping sheep in this country will take the bait –hook, line, and sinker.

McCain is the patsy that can't win. A truly perfect method to rationalize the choice for Obama.

I can easily predict that Obama will win the election since McCain is being portrayed as "same" and Obama is portrayed as "change". The brand message is set in place. The graphics are ready for the lower thirds. The citizens will feel like they've helped America.

Mission (truly) Accomplished. Let the Obama "lovefest" begin.

    • UK to press ahead to ratify the EU Treaty despite its rejection by Irish voters.

Foreign Secretary David Miliband says the UK must ratify the EU Treaty despite its rejection by Irish voters.

The result of the Irish referendum on the Lisbon Treaty should be "respected and digested" but the UK "must keep the ratification process going", he said.

EC President Jose Manuel Barroso said it will be discussed next week but the Tories said it must be "declared dead".

Ireland was the only member state to hold a public vote on the treaty, which must be ratified by all 27 countries.

The British government says the Bill to ratify the treaty will continue its progression through Parliament - despite 53.4% of Irish voters rejecting it in the referendum vote.

Mr Miliband said the Irish result should be respected but there should also be a "British view" on the treaty.

"I think it is right that we follow the view that each country must see the ratification process to a conclusion," he said.

"I believe it is right that we continue with our process and take up the Irish offer of further discussions about the next steps forward."

Mr Barosso called on other members states to continue ratifying the treaty insisting it was "alive and we should now try to find a solution".

      Clear message

But Conservative leader David Cameron said it would be the "height of arrogance" to continue to try to ratify it in the UK.

"People in Ireland have sent the clearest possible message that they do not want this treaty, they do not want this constitution and by all rights now it should be declared dead."

He said: "I think the elites in Brussels have got to listen to people in Europe who do not want endless powers being passed from nation states to Brussels."

And he added: "It is the height of arrogance for Gordon Brown and our government to press ahead with ratifying this treaty, flying in the face of public opinion."

    • Obama threatening to send troops into Pakistan!

      Tom Baldwin in Washington
Barack Obama, a leading Democrat candidate in the US presidential race, provoked anger yesterday by threatening to send troops into Pakistan to hunt down terrorists — even without permission from that country’s Government.

Standing in front of a Stars and Stripes flag, Mr Obama said: “There are terrorists holed up in those mountains who murdered 3,000 Americans. They are plotting to strike again . . . If we have actionable intelligence about high-value terrorist targets and President Musharraf won’t act, we will.”

The speech to the Woodrow Wilson Centre was designed to shore up his credentials as a potential commander-in-chief by backing a pre-emptive military action that even President Bush has so far refused to order.

Pakistan, a key ally of the US in the war on terrorism, reacted angrily, advising all American politicians to refrain from inflammatory remarks. “These are serious matters and should not be used for point-scoring,” Tasnim Aslam, a spokeswoman for the Pakistani Foreign Ministry, said. “Political candidates and commentators should show responsibility.”

Mr Obama’s outburst followed repeated clashes with Hillary Clinton, the front-runner for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2008, who in an opinion poll published yesterday leads Mr Obama 43 points to 22.

In a presidential debate last week Mr Obama said that he was willing to meet the anti-American leaders of Iran, Syria, Venezuela, Cuba and North Korea during his first year in office without any preconditions.

Mrs Clinton reacted by saying that she would not make any such promise because it might be exploited as a “propaganda tool”. She later described Mr Obama’s comments as irresponsible and naive.

Mr Obama hit back by describing her refusal to meet dictators as “Bush/Cheney-lite”, prompting another withering response from Mrs Clinton: “I’ve been called a lot of things in my life, but I’ve never been called George Bush or Dick Cheney.”

Much of Mr Obama’s speech yesterday appeared to be aimed directly at Mrs Clinton — without mentioning her by name. Mr Obama once again highlighted his opposition to the Iraq war in 2002 — when she voted to authorise military action — while also implicitly attacking her view that America was safer than it had been before September 11, 2001.

“Because of a war in Iraq that should never have been authorised and should never have been waged, we are now less safe than we were before 9/11. It is time to turn the page. It is time to write a new chapter in our response to 9/11,” he said.

Michael Reagan on his Tuesday June 10th show, during the 2nd hour, called for the murder of political activist Mark Dice and wants to pay for the bullets. Said all people who believe 9/11 attacks were aided by elements within U.S. government should be killed also.
