    • Ten Tips to Not Offend People

Ever feel that everything you write or say eventually will offend someone? Here is the humorous side of being politically correct.

      1. Always refer to everyone as a “person.” Man, woman or child. A woman should never be referred to as a “child-bearing person”, because this is offensive to those persons who do not bear children. A child should never be referred to as” a smaller person.” This sends the message that the child is inferior due to their size. Also a man should never be referred to as “may eventually get erectile dysfunction person.”

Saturday Night Live actress Amy Poehler confirmed that she will be joining NBC's new "Office" spinoff.

"I can kind of confirm that I will be working in some capacity on that show," said Poehler. "I don't really have any other details yet."

The 36-year-old Poehler has been a cast member on "Saturday Night Live" since 2001 and in recent seasons has served as a co-anchor on "Weekend Update."

    • McCain jokes about old age - 'Saturday Night Live'

"Controlling government spending isn't just about Republicans or Democrats," he said. "It's about being able to look your children in the eye. Or in my case, my children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and great-great-great-grandchildren, the youngest of whom are nearing retirement." This was just one of the jokes 71-year-old John McCain told in last night's Saturday Night Live, most of which poked fun at his own advancing years.

"I have the courage, the wisdom, the experience and, most importantly, the oldness necessary," McCain said. "The oldness it takes to protect America, to honor her, love her and tell her about what cute things the cat did."

He later urged Democrats to take their time choosing between Clinton and Obama.

    • SNL: Hilary supporter are racist.

Last night's all new "Saturday Night Live" was hosted by actor Shia Labeouf. The show opened with Amy Poehler as Hillary Clinton giving a message to America. Poehler's Clinton says how the race is "hopelessly deadlocked" and she gives reasons why she will make the better president. Reason one? "I am a sore loser... I will probably refuse to campaign for him." Second: "My supporters are racist." It goes from there.

    • The 50 greatest commercial parodies ever made

It didn't take long after the rise of TV commercials in the mid-twentieth century for comedians to take note of just how ridiculous most of those commercials were. Doctors selling cigarettes, housewives defending their laundry detergent as if any other detergent (the menacing "Brand X") were a threat to the American way of life — boob-tube marketing was a bottomless pit of material, and was bound to be soaked up by the sketch-comedy boom that followed shortly thereafter.

Parodies of such ads began popping up in the early '70s on shows like Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In. But it was Saturday Night Live's 1975 debut that ripped the genre wide open. Madison Avenue's glib, cheeseball patter became fodder for regulars like Dan Aykroyd and Gilda Radner, and some of their successors — most notably straight-man kingpin Phil Hartman — built an entire career on it. As advertising grew more sophisticated, so did the satires that chased it. In today's irony-saturated comedy landscape, it's difficult to find a sketch show that doesn't do fake ads in one form or another.

    • "Live, from New York, it's...Mark Zuckerberg?"

"In a surprise move that has shocked Silicon Valley, young Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg will guest host an upcoming episode of Saturday Night Live, according to multiple sources.

"The mild-mannered Zuckerberg, best-known for vanilla-flavored speeches filled with talking points about 'the social graph' and 'making communication more efficient,' will provide the opening monologue as well as appear in a number of sketches on the NBC show's April 5 episode.

"Appearing on the sketch comedy show is something Zuckerberg has wanted to do for a long time, a close friend confided to CNET News.com. 'Mark actually has really good comic timing,' the friend said on condition of anonymity, out of the fear that Zuckerberg might 'de-friend' him on Facebook if his identity were revealed. 'He's got this totally hilarious side that nobody ever gets to see, except his stuffed animals and sometimes his investors. Ever since Justin Timberlake did that sweet music video on the show, he's been aching to go on SNL. He had his assistant call up NBC but they were all like, 'Mark who?'"

    • SNL gets ready to touch Mariah Carey's body

Janet Jackson may be waylaid while recovering from the flu, but the show will go on – with Mariah Carey.

Carey, 37, will replace Jackson on Saturday Night Live this weekend after Jackson, 41, fell ill Monday night. "They wanted her for 10 years," says a rep for Carey. "It's going to be hot!"

The Grammy-winning songbird will join host Jonah Hill for her first appearance on the show in more than a decade. Carey will perform tracks from her upcoming album E=MC2, which will be released April 15.

    • 'Live, From New York,' It's... Hillary?

I was surprised too. First SNL was making fun of her, then she was making fun of herself. SNL was all about making fun of Hillary and Barack last night. Oh and Rudy Giuliani was there last night too.

      Check it out:

This weekend's episode opened with a similar sketch recreating Tuesday's debate. It portrayed NBC anchors Brian Williams and Tim Russert asking Clinton, played by Amy Poehler, tough questions while serving softballs to Obama.

Then the real Clinton appeared onscreen with an "editorial response."

The sketch, she said, "wasn't an endorsement of one candidate over another. I can say this confidently because when I asked if I could take it as an endorsement, I was told, 'Absolutely not.' But I still enjoyed that sketch a great deal because I simply adore Amy's impression of me."

      More after the jump :)

    • Get ready! SNL is coming back to TV!

NBC's "Saturday Night Live," the only late-night show completely shelved by the writers' strike, is planning a Feb. 23 return now that the writers signed a contract agreement and are heading back to work. No guests or host have been announced for the return.

"It's been a long dry spell without `Saturday Night Live' on the air," said Rick Ludwin, head of late-night entertainment at NBC, on Tuesday. "They've been sitting on the sidelines watching all this happening in politics and the primaries. `SNL' thrives during an election year and they can't wait to get back on."
