New fall TV shows: JJ Abrams’ Fringe and Joss Whedon’s Dollhouse
I don't really like the Dollhouse yet from the screens and video clip but JJ Abrams's Fringe looks interesting. We'll have to wait for actual trailers and the pilot to see whether these shows will be worth watching but the Fringe will most likely turn out like Alias and LOST, i.e. they'll be very successful (at least the first 2-3 seasons).
Joss Whedon did Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, and Firefly; however, Firefly was the only one I actually enjoyed watching so I'm not really sure how well the Dollhouse is going to do I don't really like the Dollhouse yet from the screens and video clip but JJ Abrams's Fringe looks interesting. Star Trek's next adventure boldly going to 2009
Don't shoot the messenger Trekkies; but I've got some bad news!
The release of J.J. Abrams' "Star Trek," with a new cast taking on the roles of Capt. James Kirk, Spock and other original characters, has been moved from Christmas Day to May 8, 2009, distributor Paramount said Thursday.
Studio spokesman Michael Vollman said the switch was a business move, not because of any problems with the film caused by the Writers Guild of America strike that just ended.
"Star Trek" will be finished by fall in time for its original release date, but studio executives decided to hold it until next summer, the film could pull in more money, he said. Don't shoot the messenger Trekkies; but I've got some bad news! ... more -

Lizzy, Puh-Leeze Don't Shave Your Head...
Okay, so a couple of days ago we asked Lizzy Caplan how she'd feel if all of the sudden everyone recognizes her and the paparazzi start stalking her after "Cloverfield" comes out. The above video contains her answer.
Now...here's what I have to say about her answer:
a) Yeah, yeah, yeah. She does sound humble in the way a publicist would teach her to sound humble, but at the same time I totally believe that she isn't really interested in her life being like that.
b) There's NO way only 2 people have ever recognized her. She starred in "The Class" and "Related" and had really memorable parts in "Mean Girls" (Janice) and "Freaks & Geeks" (the disco girl). So, if this is true, she's either great at making herself unnoticeable or making other people feel like it wouldn't be cool of them to accost her with "you're that girl from (insert something from above here)!"
c) I predict she'll be in the top 10 on IMDB by Monday...but I hope she doesn't get stalked by the press.

I've Seen Cloverfield Twice...

If you went to see Transformers, then you should have seen the teaser. Not much is known about the project, except that it is being made by J.J. Abrams, the man who brought you Alias and Lost, and that sh*t definitely hits the fan.
Cloverfield is just the codename for the movie, or is it. We don't know.
