    • Jimmy Fallon replacing Conan? For reals this time?

Could it finally be true? Is NBC just inches from officially announcing Fallon as O'Brien's permanent replacement? This rumor has been floating around for quite some time (even pushed by Fallon himself once, on Howard Stern's radio show), so we'll have to wait and see what happens. NBC seems to like Fallon; he filled in for Letterman a while back, and I'm sure NBC wants to make an announcement way ahead of time so there are no controversies. Could it finally be true? • Kimmel gets Silverman back, BAD!

Well, it's official. Jimmy Kimmel is even funnier than his girlfriend. In this hilarious answer to the "I'm f**ing Matt Damon" Kimmel pulled out the big guns and even spoofed "We are the World" with his answer to the sordid and fake love affair between girlfriend Sarah Silverman and Matt Damon. It looks like he is now "f**ing Matt's best friend Ben Affleck" and even got Brad Pitt, Robin Williams and Indiana Jones himself in on the fun. Thank goodness the writers are back. That's a big high-five for Team Kimmel. Well, it's official. Jimmy Kimmel is even funnier than his girlfriend. In this hilarious answer to the "I'm f**ing Matt... more

    • 'Late Late Show' host to get US citizenship

No need for any more honorary citizenships for talk show host Craig Ferguson. He's going to be the real deal.

The "Late Late Show" host announced Monday that he got a perfect score on his citizenship test, taken Friday in Los Angeles. The Scottish-born Ferguson will officially be sworn in a few weeks from now.

Anyone wonder what exactly is on that test? Does anyone know!?

    • Jay Leno is in T-R-O-U-B-L-E

Mr. Leno could face disciplinary action from the WGA for writing his monologue.

Leno met with WGA West President Patric Verrone to discuss his decision to write his own monologue. During the meeting Leno was told that writing the monologue constituted a violation of WGA strike rules.

Did the other hosts "write" or just talk? I mean what do they mean by "write"? They all came back on air. If you just made it up in your head would that have been okay, or, is it the preparation that is most important. I am sure they all didn't just go on their shows and not say anything funny, or anything at all.

    • Conan O' Brien and Late Night Staff play video game "Rock Band"

"Late Night With Conan O'Brien returned to the airwaves last night, bearing fresh episodes and a spectacular Writers Guild of America supporting beard. What has the staff of Late Night been doing in its down time? Playing Rock Band, like the rest of us lucky Westerners. What makes the game even more challenging at NBC Studios is licks master Conan wielding his proud axe in front of and in time with the poor saps trying to get some rock done on the clock. Stick around for the Beastie Boys/All In The Family mash up." "Late Night With Conan O'Brien returned to the airwaves last night, bearing fresh episodes and a spectacular Writers Guild o... more

    • Letterman returns Wednesday with WGA's praise; Leno to return without it.

A showdown between late-night rivals will be fought on television screens this Wednesday.

Immediately after the writers began striking in November, Letterman and Leno went to reruns.

New episodes start this week, but under different conditions. David Letterman recently made a special agreement with the WGA to allow him to shoot new episodes. He was able to make these arrangements because he owns the production company. Now that Letterman has secured WGA's approval, his shows can feature scripted comedy routines and his famous Top 10 list. WGA approval also makes him more likely to have guests that are members of the Screen Actors Guild.

Things don't look as promising for Leno, who normally brings in more audiences. Leno is returning without the WGA's approval, which means that he will have fewer guests and will have to do without scripted comedy.

Letterman also cut a deal for "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson."

    • In Your Face Leno!

So everybody by now has heard that Leno and Conan are coming back to T.V. sans their original writers, but have you heard about the sweetheart deal Dave Letterman is cooking up? Since he owns his show independently from CBS, his production company Worldwide Pants is negotiating an interim deal with the WGA that allows the Late Show host and his writers to return to the airwaves during the strike because it doesn't involve CBS. Somewhere the ghost of Larry "Bud" Melman is smiling. So everybody by now has heard that Leno and Conan are coming back to T.V. sans their original writers, but have you heard about the sw... more
