Town buys strip club for $1m
A northeast Georgia town that unsuccessfully tried for years to close a local strip club finally gave up and purchased it instead ... for nearly $1 million.
Lavonia’s mayor got a standing ovation when he announced the purchase at a meeting this week. Crews quickly took down the signs advertising the club and burned them in a large bonfire at the strip club site.
Officials have since passed an ordinance banning adult entertainment businesses.
Instead of buying the club, town officials could have used the money to pay off the bond fund for its water treatment plant upgrade. A northeast Georgia town that unsuccessfully tried for years to close a local strip club finally gave up and purchased it instead ... ... more -

Rip up your SF parking tickets. Seriously.
What's the worst thing about San Francisco? The fog, the hills, the tourists? No. It's parking tickets. More than 2 million tickets were issued last year - that's four for every car in San Francisco. Ridiculous. A local San Francisco company has had enough and is paying parking tickets for a lucky few starting this week. What's the worst thing about San Francisco? Oakland PD's Harleys have a new roar?
Phillip Matier, Andrew Ross;
Monday, June 9, 2008
Over in Oakland they like it loud - so loud that all 45 of the Police Department's Harley-Davidson motorcycles have been equipped with shiny new tailpipes, at a cost of $500 apiece, to rev up their roar.
My comments:

What the CDFA does not want you to hear... Video 1 of 13.
On Thursday, May 8th, 2008 at 7pm a San Francisco Town Hall Meeting was held in the Conservatory of Flowers of Golden Gate Park. A panel of speakers was present to inform the public why we need to OPPOSE the aerial spraying of California against the misclassifid LBAM (Light Brown Apple Moth). The California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA) is doing everything in its power to squash our voices and efforts. There is big money involved in this for them as they stand to lose trade partners and hence their lies and absolute insistence at spraying us. But we will NOT be silenced!
This is the first in a series of thirteen videos. This video features Town Hall organizer and concerned mother Kelly McMenimen and San Francisco District 11 Supervisor Gerardo Sandoval.

Pick and Choose
- So much to view so little time...
Look at the bird, the girls, the guys, the politicians, the something else going on overseas, look, look and forget about your daily life, economy, education, health care, inflation, food manipulation, the polluters, the bandits robbing your precious time and income, the lack of jobs, forget what this part of the public and government are doing to screw you up every single day and slave you. look at the bird baby!!!
Have you ever wonder why this Country, Locally and Nationally gets away with murder daily after day, monthly after month, yearly after year and by the time you wake up, it is too late?
Well wonder no more! This posting section is part of a Project I developed called simultaneously "Pick and Choose," or "Pick, Choose and Lose."
I do not know about you but I am sick and tired to turn on the TV and after haven watched the News, seen the same brain dead format, very little attention for Local and important issues to the point of acting on a dangerous deadly denial mode. That is our Corporate and Secular Network Media. Being a media broadcaster, I pray everyday so the Spirit of GOD will give me guidance to spot the most social and humane issues and air it before the spoofery, bullies and brain dead entertainment comes along to fool you.
What about you?
Still looking and giving more importance to what is killing you?

Journalism - Activism from "in" to "out"
1. Local News:
2. National News:
3. International News:
I personally feel that there are dangerous broadcast ideologies happening today that diverts our attention to external news thus giving us the impression that our local news are less important. It looks that the problem is always elsewhere but where you live, your neighborhood, your community. I am not saying that National and International news are not important, what I am saying is that we do not have a choice from the networks and National and International news is only what we get. Now this is also a tactic practiced by many news networks to focus your head elsewhere so you will be alienated from your own neighborhood and community issues.
My goal is to practice a loop of journalism that takes care of local issues first as the spirit of GOD tells me to start an issue at home first. Local issues these days have to do with citizens living and personal security. To this point I am concerned to every aspect of local Safety & Traffic issues that favors citizens safety. For that matter is where I started to have interest for the urban acoustics issues of pollution. First there it is a challenge issue in so many ways because there are a great lack of personal public education on the issue. Government bodies, Public Transportation, Manufactories of Market and the Wrong After Market Vehicles Manufactories has been for years taking advantage of our lack of education contributing to the general pollution chaos in the City.
