    • The latest bizarre fashion accessory ... 'tear' jewellery which hangs fr...

First it was tattoos, then it was body piercing, but the latest fashion craze looks so painful it's literally eye-watering.

In the frenzy to come up with something different one designer has created a line of jewellery which is intended to be worn on the eyes.

The bizarre range features a number of adornments which hang on wire from contact lenses.

Users attach a range of accessories, such as crystals and flowers, to the new prescription or dummy lenses and wear them throughout the day.

The jewellery, which measures up to 14mmx33mm, is attached to the contact using medical wire and hangs below the eye.

The crystal accessories glimmer in sunlight and look as if the wearer is crying.

Dutch designer Eric Klarenbeek, 29, said: 'People who have worn my eye jewellery are amazed at its comfort.

'You can't feel the wire dangling, it doesn't affect your sight and the lens moves along gently with your eyeball, even while blinking.

'It started out as an experiment but I decided to put it into production when I got positive feedback from wearers.

'I have made small changes to the components and balance of the jewellery as I strive for perfection.'

He added: 'We are working on the certificates which you need to sell it as a product and expect that to be finished in a few months.'

The designer added: 'They have been warmly welcomed around the world and the craze is underway.

      'They are perfectly safe.

'If someone tugs on the wire while you are wearing it the lens will just fall out - or at the very worst the wire might break.'

A lens and jewellery attachment will be priced around £200 in the designer's online store

    • New Baby Shampoo to Toughen Up Newborns

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—After decades of coddling young children, Johnson & Johnson unveiled its new "Nothing But Tears" shampoo this week, an aggressive bath-time product the company says will help to prepare meek and fragile newborns for the real world.

A radical departure for the health goods manufacturer, the new shampoo features an all-alcohol-based formula, has never once been approved by leading dermatologists, and is as gentle on a baby's skin as "having to grow up and fend for your goddamn self."

"We at Johnson & Johnson have been making bath time a safe and soothing experience for far too long," company CEO William C. Weldon said. "Years of pampering have left our newborns helpless, feeble, and ill-equipped for the arduous road ahead."

"It's time our children got the wake-up call that's been coming to them," Weldon continued. "It's time they cried their precious little eyes out."

Thats what I am saying.. Let those damn babies suffer just a little. No more calming, soothing lavender scented shampoo!

    • Tear free onions

Cry no more! Science is here to help!

Scientists in New Zealand and Japan have created a "tear-free" onion using biotechnology to switch off the gene behind the enzyme that makes us cry.

My guess is that now the onion will probably end up causing loose stool or some other exciting and embarrassing side effect.

    • American Sportsmen v English Sportsmen

Over the weekend there was a case study on who comes out on top in charisma and heroism league tables of worldwide sport. Two sportsmen of differing countries were asked two similarly awkward questions.

Jermain Beckford, a growing Leeds hero, scored the winner against Crewe and in an interview after the game was asked to comment on the speculation around him moving to another club. "What shirt am I wearing, bruv are you serious?!" was his timely and witty response.

The there was Dallas Cowboys player, Terrel Owens who was asked whether or not his team mate Tony Romo's decision to go on holiday with his celebrity girlfriend Jessica Simpson had been a factor in the Cowboys defeat. 'Big Jesse' Owens got more than upset...

I think us Brits can chalk one up on the board for a moral victory! "It's unfair! Thats my team mate! We lost as a team! Sniff Sniff!"

    • The Crying Game: Male vs. Female Tears

"'Please, please, please, just give the dog back,' Ellen DeGeneres wept on national TV last week. It was a moment that quickly established itself in the pop culture firmament, less for the plight of Iggy the adopted terrier than for the copious crying itself.

Setting aside the question of whether those sobs were 100 percent genuine, tears are a natural human response, and public figures are obviously not immune. But some who study this most basic expression of feeling will tell you that in this day and age, it can be easier for a crying man to be taken seriously than a crying woman."

So, what do u think...is it more acceptable for men or women to cry?
