IPhone Apps: Free iPhone Tetris Getting Pulled from App Store
"Tris, the free version of Tetris for the iPhone that we loved ('cause it was free!) is being pulled from the App Store. Apparently, The Tetris Company called up Apple and it no likey. Its creator, Noah Witherspoon says that while he thinks their copyright claim is thin—and would be thinner still if he called it "Trys"—he doesn't really have the resources to fight it in court, so he's removing it from the store on Wednesday. Human Tetris
There are times when you just feel like browsing through random websites in search of amusement and self-gratification, then end up running into something that makes your day. What we found today is a human Tetris stop-motion video, and of course, we're sharing the love.
The Game Over Project over at NOTsoNOISY.com recently dished out its latest stop-motion video of humans reenacting video games featuring the classic Tetris. It sure looks like a lot of dedication went into gathering enough people and taking thousands of photos just to patch up Tetris footage, but the final product sure pays off. World's largest colored graphics platform
The project is called Mikontalolights and it was organized and created by Finnish students of Tampere University of Technology. The building, that is used as the platform, has 9x11 windows that are used as the pixels.

Tetris Dormitory
Sure, it's been done before at other colleges, but it's never been this colorful or fast.
Students at the Finnish Student Union and Universimo gaming company were responsible for rigging up an elaborate colored graphics platform using the Mikontalo Dormatory D-staircase as light pixels.
All that work and these nerds still couldn't line up a perfect Tetris. Sure, it's been done before at other colleges, but it's never been this colorful or fast. ... more -
