Rootclip.com is a website where anyone with a video camera can show off their stuff.
Rootclip.com creates a short video or "rootclip" that starts off a story, and users then create their own video of what they think should happen in the next one minute chapter.
Users submit their one minute clips with an open-ended ending in order to continue the story on, and once the submission period is over, voting begins. When the voting is over, the winner receives $500, and a chance to compete in the final chapter of the video.

The Story Behind Sin City
An incredible multimedia project produced by the web team at the Las Vegas Sun. It includes videos detailing each decade, an interactive timeline that pops up and removes hotels/casinos as you drag the timeline forward or backward, detailed descriptions of the mob ties the strip had, and even videos and photos of implosions.

Whole Earth Generation - Video Contest
Now's your chance to inspire the world and make the planet a greener place.
Are you under 18 and thinking green? Show us what you're doing to be a part of the Whole Earth Generation. Are you recycling at your school? Planting trees? Forcing your parents to go green? Get in front of the camera and tell us about it.
Sing a song, rap, shoot a documentary, whatever - just send us a short video response showing how you're making a difference. If we pick yours it'll be featured leading up to Earth Day. You might even get to co-host one of our Whole Earth Generation Podcasts sponsored by Whole Foods.
Whole Earth Generation Details:
* Keep your video under two minutes.
* Be original and express your green self - we just want to see you being you.
* Keep it clean. No violence, profanity or direct attacks on individuals.
* Your video must be original and cannot infringe on any third party rights.
* Your video cannot have been previously published, broadcast, or otherwise publicly distributed.
* Winners will become "Green Ambassadors" and be featured as hosts in upcoming Whole Earth Generation podcasts.

Holy crap, I want this Elmo, and I don't even like Sesame Street. It makes Pleo look like a dumb hunk of plastic. The ways it moves and interacts is incredible—it tells stories, sings songs, dances and is simply the most expressive toy we've ever seen. Working Assets' new mobile division, Credo, is sponsoring a campaign in which illustrated images of people such as George W. Bush and Dick Cheney (drawn by Tom Tomorrow) are projected on a building next to blank dialogue boxes. Passersby can use their mobile phones to text in what they think the characters should say and then the words appear as part of the images.
