Prisoner negotiates for fried chicken in plea deal
It has been reported that Tremayne Durham who was on trial for aggravated murder in Portland, Oregon recently enjoyed KFC chicken, mashed potatoes, coleslaw, carrot cake and ice-cream after agreeing to a sentence of life in prison with no appeal.
By agreeing to this plea, it saves the 33-year-old's family from having to go through the ordeal of an emotional trial, a Judge told StatesmanJournal.com
This will also save the state money by not going through any appeals in the future.
The man, who will be sentenced in August, can at least look forward to his next feast of pizza, lasagna and more ice cream after his sentencing goes ahead. Animal activist stood months boycotting KFC's and they finally came up with a compromise. This new sandwich will be added to menus everywhere [in Canada] and hoping that the U.S. will follow Canada's view.
KFC Canada's new animal welfare plan and the vegetarian sandwich are enormous victories for PETA and animals. Unfortunately, outside Canada, KFC has not acted to stop the worst abuses of chickens.

A fifteen year old boy came out of a ten day coma after his dad offered to take him to KFC.
Jordan Hawkins of Barnstaple, Devon had undergone surgery on his skull following an altercation with two other local lads but had slipped into a coma. Surgeons had to cut a hole in Jordan's skull to relieve dangerous pressure on his brain, he stayed in the coma for ten days but when he awoke from it, the only thing he could remember was he had been promised KFC.
Good old dad obliged with him quoted as saying "we went for the biggest bucket meal ever.”
