Woman Accused Of Sex With Teen Neighbor
Kristie Lee Mathis, 35, Seminole County, Florida, is accused of having a sexual relationship with her 17-year-old neighbor. faces 12 counts of unlawful sexual activity with a minor after the parents of a 17-year-old complained to the Seminole County Sheriff's Office about her activities with their son.
Kristie Lee Mathis denied sexual activity with the teenager, telling deputies she has been a youth counselor for nine years and "was simply providing him with friendship," according to an arrest affidavit.
Investigators say Kristie Mathis had sex with the teen at least ten times and the woman is a mother herself. She appeared before a judge for the first time Wednesday to face the accusations.
Seminole County deputies arrested Mathis on Tuesday when she tried to flee a traffic stop with the young man she's accused of molesting.
Investigators said Mathis lives in a Lake Mary home with her sons and husband, very near the home of her victim. Woman pleads guilty to having sex with boy
A 19-year-old Alton woman, Ashley K. Dwyer, was indicted by a Strafford County grand jury for allegedly engaging in sex with a 15-year-old boy on three occasions last year.
She plead quilty today to two Class A misdemeanors of sexual assault, and as part of her plea the state nol prossed the three Class B felonies of felonious sexual assault for which she was indicted in March, alleging she engaged in sexual conduct with the same boy.
According to court documents, Dwyer pleaded guilty to having sex with the boy in August and November of 2007. The acts occurred in New Durham in August and Durham in November.

Mother of 4 jailed for rapes
Beth Modica, 44 years old mother of four, from Sloatsburg, New York, was sentenced Wednesday to two years in prison for having sex with underage boys after her daughter alleged that her 15-year-old boyfriend was among the woman's victims, seduced into a sex act in the bathroom of the family home.
She was indicted on charges of one count of third-degree rape and four counts of third-degree criminal sexual assault. In addition to the five felonies, she has a total of 30 misdemeanor charges against her - four counts of third-degree sexual abuse and 26 counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
Modica, 44, wept as her daughter Danielle said in court that she was banging on the bathroom door one day last year as her mother and her boyfriend were engaging in oral sex.
"We were competing for the same 15-year-old boy,'' Danielle Modica said. "I was betrayed by both of them.''
Modica told her children to lie to their father, the Spring Valley police chief, about the marijuana and alcohol she gave to them and their friends. They were changed forever by their mother's "constant lying and the things she did around me and my brothers,'' she said.
She urged Rockland County Judge Catherine Bartlett to send her mother to state prison.
Her brother, 17-year-old Joseph Modica, wrote in a letter read by prosecutor Dominic Crispino that he knew his mother was having sex with his friend in her bedroom although "she lied to my face'' and claimed the boy was sick. Addressing his mother, he said, "I am truly embarrassed and disgusted with you.''
Modica's 12-year-old son, Nicholas, also wrote to request prison time for his mother, saying, "I need to know when she gets out of jail it will be safe for me to be around her.'' Naughty Teacher Gets Jail
Stephanie Ann Stein 32 years old mother of two, a former teacher at Plymouth Christian Academy, in Canton, Michigan was sentenced today in Wayne County Circuit Court to three to fifteen years in prison on two counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct.
Wayne County Circuit Court Judge Craig Strong also sentenced Stein to 30 to 48 months on the using the Internet to communicate with a minor to commit a crime count and 16 to 24 months on the count of distributing obscene material of a sexual nature to a minor. Woman sentenced to 3 years in prison for sexual abuse of a teen boy
Amy Farrel, 40 years old mother, got 3 years prison probation for five years after her release. In accordance with a plea agreement, Farrell pleaded guilty today to three counts of unauthorized sexual conduct with a minor in return for seven related charges being dropped.
Farrel molested a teen boy for years, starting when the victim was 13 years old and was moved to live with Farrel and her family. The boy’s mother allowed her son to live with Farrell who served as the boy’s guardian, and her husband and children. New Safety Measures For MySpace
MySpace has reached an agreement with more than 45 states to change to help prevent sexual predators and others from misusing it, state officials said Monday.
Several states' attorneys general said in a statement that the huge social networking Web site has agreed to add several protections and participate in a working group to develop new technologies, including a way to verify the ages of users. Other social networking sites will be invited to participate.
Among other measures, MySpace agreed to:
_ Allow parents to submit children's e-mail addresses to MySpace to prevent anyone from misusing the addresses to set up profiles.
_ Make the default setting "private" for 16- and 17-year-old users.
_ Respond within 72 hours to complaints about inappropriate content and devote more staff and resources to classify photographs and discussion groups.
_ Strengthen software to find underage users.

Robin Garrison, an off-duty 42-year-old firefighter, was walking in Berliner Park in Columbus, Ohio, in May when he saw a woman sunbathing topless under a tree.
