Baltimore DJ K-Swift Dies In Swimming Pool Accident
Khia "K-Swift" Edgertonone, of Baltimore, Maryland's most popular DJ, died early today (July 21) after a pool accident in her home.
The 29-year-old, whose cause of death is to be determined pending an autopsy, had been hosting a party at her house Sunday evening into early this morning, according to the Baltimore Sun. Police believe that she may have been drinking.
Reports say that during the party, the DJ jumped into her above-ground pool (which was four or five feet deep) with several other people

Nel nuovo album di Danijay, infatti, il bollino SIAE e' applicato sul retro del dispositivo e le canozni possono essere caricate direttamente dalla memoria del lettore.

Doo Wop airs new video against Lil Wayne's remarks
After last week's touted video made by New York veteran deejay Doo Wop [click to view], the legend heard Lil Wayne's reaction on DJ Drama's show [click to read], and still has an axe to grind.
Doo Wop explained to HipHopDX, "The first time he said that foul shit about mixtape deejays , it pissed me off, but my reaction was more like, 'This cat is really buggin'. So i was said, 'Okay, let me just have a little fun and put together a video on behalf of the 'mixtape deejay so the public could see how his own bosses credit the deejay for making Lil Wayne.'

Lil Wayne Explains Mixtape Diss & Still Calls Out Deejays
After Lil’ Wayne torched the mixtape scene with scathing comments in an interview with Foundation Magazine [click to read], the entire mixtape scene was up in arms. Even the legendary DJ Doo Wop decided to get in on the mix and fire back at Weezy F Baby [click to read]. Late last night, Lil Wayne called in to DJ Drama’s Shade 45 Sirius Satellite Radio show to explain his position to the world.
“First off I ain’t mean to disrespect no deejays, no mixtape deejays, whatever kind of deejay you is, there was no kind of disrespect,” Wayne said on the air. “Especially given the fact that me and Drama, me and [DJ] Khaled and me and my homeboy Raj Smooth from New Orleans, we all get it in and do the mixtape thing. So given that fact, I think things were blew out of proportion."

A week after announcing he will rename his controversial Nigger album to simply Nas, word has spread that Nas is scheduled to team up with DJ Green Lantern to drop a mixtape titled The Nigger Tape. "I guess it shows you the power of Wal-Mart and Target," Green Lantern told Rhapsody's Play blog. "If that was the case, it's definitely scary because it kind of fucks with your artistic vision".

The Touch Screen Turntable

With the industry in a state of emergency there's not a lot of rappers coming out and living what they rap about. With cases like Akon and 50 Cent perhaps fabricating or manipulating the truth for more record sales, some artists still keep that integrity that makes them successful and more appealing to the common folks and to the people that can relate to their music through their own struggles.
One thing to say about Philly is that they stay pushing some "real" music. You know if someone is birthed out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, you're not going to hear any bubblegum pop music. You know it's going to be that gutter street sound which Beanie Sigel attempt to go "from the streets to the fame." Don't be mad at The Roots for bringing that dark feel to their music on their last album either. Illadelph stays consistent with their product and Sic Osyrus is no different.
Growing up in a single mother household with nine siblings, and moving around from state to state can affect any child. All of our experiences and lessons learned throughout our youth, is what molds us to what we are today. For most artists, embellishing the truth is the name of the game, but Sic has proved through humble effort that he is worthy of DXnext.
