LeAnn Rimes' favorite part of the CMA Awards
LeAnn Rimes confesses that awards shows aren't always her favorite gig.
"It's nice to have people all in one place," she says. "But if you're performing or hosting, it gets pretty busy. You're running around, you're changing clothes, there's some tension, you really don't get to relax and enjoy the show very much."

"Reba's been one of my idols since I was a little girl growing up in Texas," says Rimes. "Now she's also a friend, and it's such a pleasure any time that I get to sing with her."
Rimes will be both a performer and a segment host this Wednesday, when ABC telecasts the Country Music Association's 41st Annual CMA Awards from Nashville at 8 p.m. LeAnn Rimes confesses that awards shows aren't always her favorite gig. ... more -

A lot of you transplanted southerners and culturally envious yankees have the scoop on what's worth seeing in and around Nashville. If we're going to get it all, we've got to find an intersection of the music, the parties, the poverty, the politics, and the elusive notion of southern comfort and hospitality. No topic is off limits. Like a lot of things in this world, the south is a mixed bag of awesome, suck, and just plain ambiguous and difficult to explain. Let's get in there and crack open a range of commentary and compelling stories that will give everyone in our worldwide audience a second look at everything the south has to offer- for better or for worse.Share your southern stories, pictures, video, and web-links.
