    • "Get Smart" not nearly smart enough

This is a slapdash effort whose producers threw money and stunts onscreen instead of the satirical gags and one-liners that made the old spy spoof so memorable. It's been 19 years and Indiana Jones is back! And Harrison Ford is 65. Does the film seem as aged as he does, or does it live up to the legacy of the series? • Gore Hears a Who

Do you think there's an energy crisis? Don't you sometimes feel like Horton? People think I'm unAmerican since I own a Honda hybrid. Don't they know that their filling their tanks with foreign oil! (boy, I have all kinds of things to rant about)... And don't they know that the oil ain't gonna last. Like Who-ville, it's going to take a crisis... a total crash... to make people listen.

Go watch Horton Hears a Who and you'll know what I mean. What a great movie to expose kids to and use to discussion. You can insert all sorts of political agendas... people saw a McCarthism message in the 50's, abortion in the 90's. Why not use it to teach about the energy crisis now. Dr. Suess is the master of the word and this version of Horton does his writing justice. It's worth a look.

    • Horton Hears a Baby?

Horton Hears a Who has spoken to a whole new generation. Pro-Life groups are using Horton's famous phrase "a person's a person no matter how small" and using it as an anti-abortion rallying cry. I'm sure Dr. Suess wasn't writing this as an anti-abortion piece, but he certainly might have been political. The book was originally published right after the McCarthy hearings of 1954. Many see the Wickersham Brothers as McCathy type characters. This goes to show that Dr. Suess's message appeals to multiple generations and that Horton might be a great work of literature because it can be applied to new ideas and future debates. So onward Horton! Thanks for delivering a movie that gives us something to think about, rather than the usual fluff.

    • Pick and Choose

      - So much to view so little time...

Look at the bird, the girls, the guys, the politicians, the something else going on overseas, look, look and forget about your daily life, economy, education, health care, inflation, food manipulation, the polluters, the bandits robbing your precious time and income, the lack of jobs, forget what this part of the public and government are doing to screw you up every single day and slave you. look at the bird baby!!!

Have you ever wonder why this Country, Locally and Nationally gets away with murder daily after day, monthly after month, yearly after year and by the time you wake up, it is too late?

Well wonder no more! This posting section is part of a Project I developed called simultaneously "Pick and Choose," or "Pick, Choose and Lose."

I do not know about you but I am sick and tired to turn on the TV and after haven watched the News, seen the same brain dead format, very little attention for Local and important issues to the point of acting on a dangerous deadly denial mode. That is our Corporate and Secular Network Media. Being a media broadcaster, I pray everyday so the Spirit of GOD will give me guidance to spot the most social and humane issues and air it before the spoofery, bullies and brain dead entertainment comes along to fool you.

      What about you?
Still looking and giving more importance to what is killing you?

    • Golden Globes...Special????

I love watching movies and TV sitcoms and dramas. The awards season is something I look forward to. If people think we don't need writers...THINK AGAIN! This "Special" was a perfect example on the need of writers and why they should end this strike.

I can't even look forward to any other awards show, especially the Oscars, after this fiasco.
